Winter track recommendations - USA South

Hey guys, our track season is winding down here in Canada.
October events are the end of it.

A good friend is looking at loading up the car & trailer and trucking south for a month (Feb-Mar) to ease the winter blues.
I plan to join him somewhere along the way.

As the title says.... what venues do you recommend???

COTA will definitely be on the list.
...likely traveling south on I75 to Florida then across the bottom to Texas, but route is definitely flexible.

I hear good things about MSR Houston. It's not too far from COTA.

See if you can do something like Sebring or Daytona.

Trackpedia should list all of them by state.

BMW CCA has an event at Road Atlanta in March.

Check out VIR on the way down, as well.

Go to CA! Many notable tracks. And winter is the time to go.

Would love to but it would be too much travel time from Toronto.

MSR Houston is not bad, its kinda boring imo. Motorsport Ranch in Cresson Tx is pretty fun, especially if you run the 3.1 mile config.

I really like Hallett in OK.

They are also repaving and reconfiguring Eagles Canyon Raceway. That should be pretty great when they get done.

Oops, MSR Cresson is what I meant, not Houston. Haven't heard of Hallett but will need to look at that one.

Hallett is awesome. It's a short track but a ton of fun.

Thanks. I am moving to Dallas later this year and need to find the new local tracks. I've been spoiled in Chicago with stuff like Autobahn, Road America, GingerMan, and Mid-Ohio within a few hours...
