Powerfolding mirror retrofit

I've been doing research on this. I need the window switch and the mirrors from another e92...can't find a definitive answer if there will need to be any coding done after they are installed

Has anyone done this mod? or coded this? I think coding is needed only if i want to fold in with key...If I just pnp the switch and mirrors they should work right?

Yes, I did this long time ago. You need to code your car to enable folding mirrors option. Folding mirrors while locking car requires additional coding too.

Did you have to code the autodim and heated functions?
i assume just set them to aktiv

Each option (heated mirrors, autodim, folding) has different factory code and depending, which mirrors you have, then you need to code your car accordingly.
If you were only missing "folding mirror option", and now your mirrors are "fully loaded" then you need to add "folding mirror option" only to the Vehicle Order and code it.
If you bought folding mirrors that are not heated or dont have autodim feature and you still have these option in the Vehicle Order, then you will get errors.

My car mirrors have Autodip, Heated, Autodim functions. The mirrors i purchased have all that and powerfold function. so i should be ok right
