Those who upgraded from EDC to KWv3's
Do you feel the money was a well spent upgrade?
Did it introduce more oversteer or understeer compared to the OEM setup? If the settings are set at the middle stiffness, is the car still daily drivable? This means sustained rides on the freeway for a good distance. Was it a bitch to get everything installed and working properly to the specifications you were looking for?

The handling will change depending on setup, I made the car a little stiffer to induce less oversteer as the car is a little prone to want to di it especially running a square setup.
I run the car on my initial track setup (clubsport kit) on the street and its fine. Just a stiffer ride, obviously much stiffer than EDC, but than again I regret getting EDC all together. It wasn't necessary for me and I like the car much better with coilovers, I was able to dial in near perfect settings compared to what I was able to get out of the car with EDC alone. Not a bitch to get settings done. All I really change now from street to track is the rebound to make the ride not as bouncy when its stiff on regular roads. Just started with KW's recommended settings and than tuned accordingly after a few hard runs trying to take the car to its limits in turns at the track and I just left it the same for street. You'll find most track guys take a lot of notes, so I just write all my changes and settings in my track journal |
