Inspection station

Anyone know of an inspection spot that'll pass with an akra slip on? I went to 3 locations in Springfield and they all said it'll fail if it's not stock. I'm in NYC most of the year, but I'm willing to travel anywhere in Massachusetts . & of course my sticker expires at the end of this month.

Wait, is your car registered in NY or Mass?

That's very strange. Just tell them the exhaust is stock. They can't mess with it.

Or just put the stock on for the inspection and then but the Evo back on.

Anyone who knows anything about cars can look at the Akra and tell that it isn't OEM. The real issues isn't stock, but that the car can't be any louder than OEM. Best to go with the MPE. Hassle free.

I have the Akra slip-on with the Challenge Engineering "Street" X-pipe and have passed MA State inspection 3 times and at the dealer all three times. There should be no problem for you as primary and secondary Cats are still in place.

Registered in Massachusetts but primary residence in NYC. I was hoping I didn't have to go through all that.

I'm getting warmer. It passed on saftey, just emissions came up as not ready. So have to keep driving the car. I dont get it since I drove 140 miles to get there, but it still hasn't reset.

That makes no sense if you have the stock X-Pipe... the rear section has nothing to do with emissions...

I know. Many agreed, but I went to several stations in that town and they all said the same thing.
