Throttle Actuator replacement under warranty in Puget Sound area

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, I have an '12 e92 M3, bought less than a month ago.
It went into limp mode today and while I'm waiting for Carly to arrive in mail to get the codes, I'm suspecting it's a throttle actuator.

Anyone here got their TA replaced under emissions warranty in Seattle area? If so, which dealer did you have this done at?

Once I have a code confirming it's a TA, I'll be calling BMW of Bellevue since they're the closest to me, but I wouldn't mind going as far as BMW Northwest in Fife.

Thanks

I bought my m3 from BMW Bellevue last year and within a week my bank2 actuator went out. They offered me no such warranty coverage and the extended coverage i bought from them also didnt cover the actuator.

How much was the bill, if you don't mind sharing?

Ended up buying one new actuator, new set of gears for the other side and fixed it myself.

I see your car is from 2009, wonder if by the time your TA failed the 70k mile/7 year warranty lapsed? I will be calling BMW Bellevue about this later this week, will post an update.

Update: codes point to a vacuum line sensor under the brake fluid reservoir, so I'll be replacing that when the parts arrive. Looks like my TAs are fine for now.

common issue, it's kind of a pain to replace unless you have a second set of hands.

Thanks for the advice. Did this today, looks like this fixed the issue - drove around for about 40min, no limp mode.
