Throttle Actuator replacement under warranty in Puget Sound area
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, I have an '12 e92 M3, bought less than a month ago. It went into limp mode today and while I'm waiting for Carly to arrive in mail to get the codes, I'm suspecting it's a throttle actuator. Anyone here got their TA replaced under emissions warranty in Seattle area? If so, which dealer did you have this done at? Once I have a code confirming it's a TA, I'll be calling BMW of Bellevue since they're the closest to me, but I wouldn't mind going as far as BMW Northwest in Fife. Thanks |

I bought my m3 from BMW Bellevue last year and within a week my bank2 actuator went out. They offered me no such warranty coverage and the extended coverage i bought from them also didnt cover the actuator.

I see your car is from 2009, wonder if by the time your TA failed the 70k mile/7 year warranty lapsed? I will be calling BMW Bellevue about this later this week, will post an update.

Update: codes point to a vacuum line sensor under the brake fluid reservoir, so I'll be replacing that when the parts arrive. Looks like my TAs are fine for now.

common issue, it's kind of a pain to replace unless you have a second set of hands.
