Bimmer Service Center in Roswell does oil changes for M Atlanta Members for just the cost of the oil. M Atlanta is a Facebook group. I think I paid $90 for my last one?

Damn $735 for an oil change? just order the oil and filter there a DIY video in the DIY section, just make sure you drain both pan. Less then an hour to do an oil change.

Hi guys! SO I recently got my 2011 M3 E92, been wanting to own an M3 for a while. I have had the E92 335i in the past but nothing like ITB's. Anyways, long story short I was trying to purchase the oil from the dealer, and before they gave the price of 21 per qt, they quoted me 617 USD for the oil change LOL.

I went ahead and purchased the whole kit here http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3-...nce/ES2578578/

for 145.00 with shipping to Miami, FL. BTW quick silly question, since there are two drain plugs, do I need to drain one first, close it and then the other? thanks for the help.

Also aside from the oil, I also purchased my spark plugs for 83 USD total shipping included from rockauto.com NGK LKR8AP in case anyone needs it.

Shelly BMW in OC quoted $340 for oil change for my 2008 M6..

And went to Ronin Autowerks $128 for oil change (10W-60, but forgot the brand name). But he he charged $110 since he did not have change (I gave him $130, but gave me $20 dollar back!).

Filters and washers were included in the price.

BMW dealer charge $20~25 per quart (TWS 10W-60)

The drain plug towards the back of the car is the one you drain first. The one in front of the car is to drain the 1 liter if you accidentally overfill (when they say put on bottle in, put in half).

For the rest of the people who get raped by the dealer, the oil change process is extremely simple. It's a def DIY, save yourself money! luckily my dealer (one block away) charges 15.99 a quart so that's not too bad (considering shipping to Hawaii is always a rip lol)

If anybody has trouble, PM me

Someone will charge you about $80-$100 labor to change it. I would just do it yourself.

My local dealer wants $300. They are willing, however, to charge only $20 for labor if I supply my own oil/filter. That means they are charging $280 for "parts". I guess they'll price it for an amount they think they can get. Nuts. Nice to have other options through this forum...

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=996595

I haven't shown local dealer the above deal. Curious to hear what they'll think. Likely won't have much to say...

Its about $11 a liter and I have excess oil so every time I goto the dealer its $50 for an oil change as I provide the oil and filter. Dirt cheap. This car is last generation and should not continue to be expensive, regardless.

Agreed that oil change done by yourself saves $$$ ,have done it on all my cars ,except with the ///M3 and that for one reason !
It seems also that everyone forgets something....
There's nowhere a BMW stamp in service book of the car, and in case of bearing failure.... you will hear the result !
Goodbye BMW goodwill !
BTW...OP's price for oil change is normal , at least here !

The most generic, non-informational article I have ever glanced at ... that is 30 seconds of my life I will never get back

Quite an old thread being revived, but the prices have remained about the same. FCP Euro has a lifetime guarantee for their parts, including oil, and you can choose from two kits for less then $150.
