E92 M3 Value?
There is a slight chance I sell my E92 M3 and just don't know where the market is. 2012 E92 Space Grey/Black, 6spd, Comp pack, carbon roof, full clear bra over front 1/2 of the car, 15k miles. EAG has one for $75k that has a little less miles and is mineral white so maybe rarer....But is mid $60's right?

It is worth what someone is willing to pay. Start with the price you feel is right, and the market will tell you if it's priced correctly.
Good luck. |

$60k ? you’re joking right ? Just because some crazy guy has one for $75k it doesn't mean thats what they are worth. Like the post above me, its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Realistically I see it around $34k-$36k and unless some chump is willing to give you $60k(doesn’t book out)cash I would feel sorry for that poor dummy.

I doubt you will get more than mid to high 40's realistically as a private seller. EAG prices are crazy but people buy their name so they can ask what they want (and seem to get it). From what you listed, the low miles, 6MT, ZCP and CF roof will help your sale but it's not a unique color or chassis (ex. E90 slicktop) so I don't see it fetching more than $50k.
Also if you have any pics it would help.

Post it on Bringatrailer. My guess is that you can get around 45k for the car, depends on Carfax and maintenance history.

It's worth a call to EAG first. They may surprise you with their offer. Forget any comments about less than $40k...it will easily sell for well over that amount assuming good provenance with only 15k miles (i.e. factory paintwork, never any winter roads, garaged day and night since new).

Bring a trailer will bring all the money for your spec. Mid to high $40's but take a look at this graph for guidance.

I may go BaT. I love the comments of $35k as clearly they haven't seen where these cars are selling at. I sold my 2008 with 7k miles for $45k around 6 months ago and this car is far more desirable. I forgot the cardinal rule of selling of car: never list it on the fan forum. They love to hate on the cars they supposedly love.
Anyway, I am looking at getting a lift and if it fits I'll keep it. If not, may pop up on BaT.

Call EAG first and see what they offer. 15K miles is very low, and the car is the second to the last model year. No way this is in the $30s or even low $40s.

I dealt with two very interested and knowledgeable enthusiasts as word got out I was interested in selling the car. After almost six weeks of back and forth, one flaked and the other proclaimed my car wasn't worth more than his offer of $26k, no way, no how. I submitted to BaT that day, and two weeks later sold it for $34k/$35.5k. The BaT buyer reauctioned it a year later since he was moving to SF and losing a garage spot, and sold it for almost $2k more. As the market for E9x M3s (especially the much rarer E90s) with low mileage and excellent provenance appreciates, there will be a large group of people who will proclaim the cars are "not worth" what they are selling for. It's just the way it is, and if there wasn't a majority of disbelievers, then a market could never appreciate since "everyone would know" the true value. Call EAG. The car is their perfect spec. At least once you get their offer, you'll know the likely highest price you can sell it for immediately (they will usually bank wire the funds to you right away and have it picked up within a few days by a transport). Use that price or something near it as your reserve on BaT.

Yeah, 15k miles easily gets you into the 40s. Like someone said, you could call someplace like EAG and there's a chance they may take it off your hands for a decent price.

A 15k mile no bullshit car is easily above $40k in a heartbeat. You just have to decide your level of effort.
If you want it gone quick I agree EAG might give you $45 and flip it for $65 after polishing it up and marketing it for 3 months. People who buy EAG cars usually don't show up on the forums asking where to buy discount rod bearings - there are more types of car guys than just forum enthusiasts.

So if you recently sold an E92 M3 with low miles, why would you post a question here about the possible sale value of an even better E92?
You may have forgotten the "cardinal rule" of posting on a enthusiast forum: the right to an opinion, even if it doesn't agree with yours Good luck with your decision, and I would love to be able to put a lift in my garage but the only "lift" I'll be getting is 21" max height via a future QuickJack Quote:

You posted a question asking our opinion on what’s you car worth. Looking at the comments most people agree that it will go for mid-high 40s. Which is based on realistic number and not your emotional attachment to the car. If you had AW, single hump, stripper with red interior which is very sought after...it could probably fetch low to mid 50s. But Space gray is not very desirable hence you won’t get the top dollar for it. Here’s a link with a few 2013s on the marker right now...it will give you approximate idea of the prices people asking for them: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invento...Entity=c23550# |

I honestly think EAG might offer you more than what BAT would net. EAG is listing them 10-15k higher than what I see on BAT. Definitely call them for a ballpark.
To me I think the right buyer would shell out 55k or more. A low mileage 6MT ZCP is becoming even harder to find as we approach a decade since start of production for ZCP. I think EAG might offer you 45-50, and would try to turn around and sell at 55-60. There's really no way to know. But I would set a reserve if you go BAT. The best way to get top dollar is to wait for the buyer who wants it (if you list at 60k it could take a year to sell), not a 7 day listing at auction. |

Appreciate all the comments. I was just trying to see if these were moving in the $50's/$60's as there are very few like mine for sale and the ones that are have that asking price. In the end, I am not motivated and love the car. I already sold my 2008 and a few other cars over the last 2 years due to storage issues but I am working on the problem as we chat.
