Track season is starting...anyone want to start in this? - TC Kline double adjustable coilovers and camber plates installed last year ($4,500) - PFC Z54 front big brake kit - PFC Z54 replacement rotors (in addition to what’s installed on the car) - 18” Apex wheels, silver, w/ 265/35 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (little wear) - 18” Apex wheels, black, w/ 275/35 Toyo Proxes RR (little wear, only four 20 minute sessions) - Half roll cage, welded - OMP racing seats (large, x-large) - Brey Krause seat brackets on OEM power sliders - Schroth racing harnesses - Track Car Door Cards - High flow cats - Carbon aero - Partially stripped (I was told 300 lbs weight reduction) - Replacement 4.0-liter S65 V8 was installed in September 2017 by United BMW Gwinnett of Duluth, Georgia. Has ~29K miles. - Replacement rod bearings were installed within the last 5k miles. - Both throttle actuators replaced late last year - Service records and contact info for previous two owners are available Factory: - 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque - Seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission - Variable M Differential Lock - Competition package - Carbon-fiber exterior trim - Adaptive xenon headlamps - Park Distance Control - Dual-zone automatic climate control - Cruise control - Power windows - Carbon-fiber roof panel - Carbon-fiber mirror covers - Carbon structure leather trim I purchased this in the fall last year, mostly on a whim, due to to it being naturally aspirated and having a half-cage, race seats, BBK, TC Kline suspension, and other mods that I had been planning to do to my F80. I took it to NCM two weekends and it ran very well. The suspension upgrade and camber are perfect, it turns in beautifully, plenty of power, linear throttle, solid braking. My instructor the first weekend drove it after his Miata’s transmission blew 🙂 and thought highly of it. He said he wouldn’t hesitate to race it. The second weekend was a Chin event and I promoted from novice to intermediate with it. I have zero complaints with it on the track. However, I’ve never had a partially stripped car or race seats before and didn’t realize how loud and uncomfortable it would be for non-track driving. I bought the F80 so I could track and was planning on replacing it with this E92. I’ve grown fond of the F80 as a daily driver and assumed the E92 would also be usable for running errands and such. While it is technically usable for those things, due to noise and inconvenience, no one in my family wants to drive it. After some soul searching, I decided that with four drivers in my house it doesn't make sense to have a car that’s only going to get driven on the track. I had an issue with the throttle actuators which cost part of a track day my first weekend at NCM. Both actuators were promptly replaced and I had zero issues the next weekend at NCM. I swapped position of the seats so that the large is now the drivers’ seat (not shown in photos). Carfax report lists an accident in January 2018 that caused minor damage. Body has a couple small cosmetic issues on front/rear bumper area as well as some carbon fiber delamination, all as can be seen in the photos. The roof panel was wrapped to hide the delamination. Posted pictures were taken by previous owner and I have over 100 total I can send to anyone interested. Will also make current pics available but previous pics were professionally done and show the car really well. Happy to answer questions. Feel free to reach out to me here or through the ad on FB Marketplace. Last edited by rsyring; 05-28-2023 at 03:08 PM.. |
