Rock Auto / Bendix Rotors - Anyone got long term experience with them yet?

Looking at some options for replacing the OEM rotors and those Rockauto/Bendix replacements are very tempting. Does anyone have any long term experience with them yet?

How are they holding up? Any track days?

Thinking of putting in some cheap rotors in the rears and a nice two piece on the front with the stock brakes.

They're garbage in my opinion. They are several pounds heavier than the stock rotors, and they're not coated so they rust and will make your M3 look like a hooptie. They also warp quickly if you work em hard.

Ran these for about 20k miles before the fronts got warped and the rears ended up rubbing on my rear heat shields causing a loud whirring noise. The rears didn’t rub until about 5-10k miles after the install. They do the job of stopping the car but have to have agree with e46IX in that these are pretty trash. Really wish there were cheaper alternatives without any sacrifices to performance/durability as the OEM rotors are pretty pricey for those that don’t push their cars to the limit.

Get the OEM rotors or equivalent. They are 2 piece and hold up way better on track and even for daily driving.

I tracked a set of these. Garbage. I did it because they were cheap, but FCP Euro is the way to go. Don't waste your time. Just go OEM. If you want something better than stock but not full BBK, get the Turner Tracksport rotors. I have them on my M3, love them.

Yeah agreed. Even then make sure to paint the hats, otherwise they will rust and look like shit.

I would say they are OK for the casual driver looking for an economic alternative. That being said, if you plan to do any sort of spirited or performance driving, I would agree, don’t even waste your time.

i tracked on bendix rotors and still managed to do nearly sub2s all day at buttonwillow.

i just buy new ones before the track event, then when i drive on the street i just swap to my oem rotors.
