Got mine installed and working with a backup camera.

Camera is powered from the Andream screen, there is a wire labeled CAM Pow. So no need to piggy back off reverse lights like I read about for other units. CCC 6MT.

I used the audio jack and sound quality was good, I may try to code the other option but I think I prefer to still have the USB option on the CCC which would be disabled if I did that.

Does anyone think this will work with the Andream?

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/

Would give it AA Wireless support if it works.

I did move the MOST cable over to the new harness, but never coded out the USB/AUX. I don't know if you can "code out" USB/AUX with CCC. I'll try and get back. I bought OBDLINK MX+ and have Bimmer code iOS on my phone. Has anyone here been able to do the CCC unit without coding? I did get sound through the USB in the original mode but not when porting through ANDREAM only through original head unit. The only way to get sound was through the AUX cable.

I believe it should be possible as there are lower spec e90s/e60s that came without the usb and audio jack. The Andream description mentioned it working without the audio cable plugged in on some cars, I believe those are the cars they are referring to.

Weather the coding values are the same as CIC I don't know yet as I haven't looked, but if there was an option without it. It should be possible.

To tuck all the wires, I loosened the bracket around the cic. I think there was was 4 screws holding it and two 8mm at the bottom. Put the quad lock behind the right side of the bracket then tightened it all back up.
You stated earlier that you put the harness to the right of the bracket. How did you do that? Did you wedge the harness in there, reattach the bracket and then connect to the head unit? Thank you in advance.

@Cyberdemon @tdott @smokinjoe64
I sent bimmercode and email and specifically asked them if the CIC Codes:

CDMM_AUX_HU
aktiv

CDMM_USB_AUDIO_SINGLE
nicht_aktiv

CDMM_USB_AUDIO_DOUBLE_0B
nicht_aktiv

are the same as the CCC ones. I'm waiting for a reply. I hope there's a work around for running an AUX cable. If there is, I'll certainly post it for the benefit of others

I took out the whole bracket, theres some room on the back right near the glove you can squish the quad lock in. Then tighten up the bracket back in. Its a bit of a pain since the harness is short but it is doable. Another member said he cut the bracket so that could be an option too.

Regarding the CCC, my friend has a 2008 335i and he was able to code out CCC usb audio also.

Finally had some time to look into the coding for CCC.

AUX_CONFIG needs to be changed from not_mounted (0x00) to mounted (0x01)

This guy has a video on it:

I haven't tried it yet, but good to know the value. I was pretty sure it was there since guys use it to add an audio jack to early low spec cars.

Thanks. I have the AUX, just not sure how to get the sound without the AUX cable.

that is how you get sound without the aux cable. The harness already has wires connecting the unit directly to the head unit vs using the audio jack.

Thanks. I have bimmercode, I'ld like to see if I can find that section with that program. I've sent their support 2 messages, but I haven't heard back.

It would be so nice if there was one thread that showed a detailed installation of one of these units. So much good and bad information on this forum it is difficult to get a feel for the quality of these units, installation difficulty and process (including coding), and sound quality.

What is even worse is that these sellers who are selling the product don't even have any quality videos documenting the entire process.

I was able to run Bimmer code today and found multiple entries that were not activated. I also found one that stated audio was not mounted. I will take a picture of all the menus and review them and follow with a post.

The headunit section of BimmerCode was greyed out and a new one appeared after I mounted AUX. I'm still troubleshooting and I'm wondering if it made a difference to change it prior to install. I'll follow up with a coder.

I figured out a simple way to bypass the horrible mic and call quality. Connect your phone to the factory cic but Bluetooth calling only. If you have a 2011+ with combox don't check off music.

Now when someone calls me, it uses the factory cic mic and Bluetooth. Best of both worlds.

Anyone with the Andream touch screen having battery drain issues? (CCC)
It was fine when installed in May. But last 2 weeks I kept coming back to a dead battery if I hadn't driven it for 1-2 days.

Isolated the drain to Fuse 56. It was drawing ~3.8 to 4.2 amps.
When fuse 56 removed, it is back down to 0.30 to 0.38 after it settles, which is considered normal.

Contacting them to see what they say, but others with this unit might want to double check.

Help to find a coder for E92 M3 for AUX with ANDREAM unit

I am requesting help in finding an experienced coder for my 2008 CCC E92 M3 (iPod/USB/AUX Logic L7 premium sound package interface from the factory) to get the AUX to work for the Andream Carplay Headunit. I have tried to find the correct settings but unable to get the headhunit to work without using the AUX in the center console. I see Aux in the iDrive settings and have switched to it but sound does not work unless the AUX plug is used. Any help is greatly appreciated.

They responded within a day asking for my order number, I provided it right away. Then they have ghosted me for the past week, I've sent 2 follow up emails and they have not responded.
