This was a swapped 128i S65 and 1M body paneling the shop did, not mine. Very cool nonetheless

this is really incredible

Even without the full M quarter panels it still looks pretty good.

Did the OEM rear M3 wheels fit in the back without the real M quarter panels?

Yes the 220s with 255/35 winter tires fit great could probably even throw on 10mm spacers. I've fitted ZCP 10" rear with 275/30 but that was on the N52 Xdrive axels. From my measurements the new e90 M3 quarters are going to yield 45mm more width on each side (3inches!) I never considered keeping the back un-modified, i lived with it for about a year while the front was done and it really bothered me. Plus, I've got two sets of summer wheels I'm going to run. One set is 295/30/19 in the rear on 10.5 and the other is 285/30/19 on 10" no way those are fitting as is lol.

Sweet thanks!

Clearly it is preferable to have the correct rear flares, but it also seems like a place you can reduce costs a bit. The E91 M conversion is probably in the 40k range all in if my back of the envelope math is correct... the rear fenders/bumper are probably another 5.

I'm so itching to do this

Yeah the rear work is definitely more than I anticipated but there's over 100 hours of labor involved so it's valid. I don't think this swap could ever be a flippable money maker. Some people might see it as a waste of money, but I personally think it might be one of the sexiest car I've ever seen.

100h of labor so far all in?

I don't think this is a way to make money either, but it is certainly one of the coolest vehicles on the friggin planet

100 hours just for the rear quarters and bumper splicing. Fabrication painting and blending.

I found them on a FB forum page. The guy had been selling them for weeks and somehow it never caught wind, got them for steal. I was going to repaint the entire car tanzanite blue but think I'm just going to stick with deep sea blue. Even though it's a non M color I do really like it. Painting and blending in entire rear and doors

Love tanzanite but doing the whole car will cost a fortune. deep sea blue is a very sporty color so I agree with the decision to keep it. It looks similar to interlagos. If it was anything but navy blue i would tell you to paint it lol

Mechanical swap was over 200 hrs. Front end and interior cost me 3500 in labor and about 4K in parts, not sure how many hours it took

Thank you! I don't know which wheels I want to run more. The square zcp or the Vorsteiners? I guess both 🤷🏼? If I find one way better fitting than the other I'll sell it.

I'm a sucker for ZCPs. Just such a perfect wheel for these cars. Dibs on two of the four if you decide to sell them!

Really awesome!! Looks so cool! I don't understand why BMW doesn't make any wagon M cars anymore. Certainly in Europe there is a market for those types of cars.
