Hey everyone,
i have a 08 e93 m3 with air suspension. I just found a staggered 763m wheels.
They are 20×8.5 +20 for the Front & 20×10 +35 on the rear with 265|30|20 and 305|30|20 tires. I would really appreciate if someone could advise me if this set will fit on my car. Thank you gain in advance

so here are the facts comparing the wheel sizes you listed to the M220 19" stock wheel/tires. I have never seen a factory BMW 763M front wheel size of 20x8.5 +20: can you confirm that size or are these aftermarket replica wheels?

TLDR: Wheels will fit OK, tires are too big

Front:

• The front 20x8.5 +20 wheel will stick out an additional 9 mm (that's OK depending on tire choice).
• An average 265/30/20 tire is 26.3" diameter, which is a little too large to fit an e90 without rubbing in certain areas such as in the front and rear of the fender liner.
• A 265 mm tire is a little wide (meaty) for a 8.5" wheel and not the best choice.

Rear:

• The rear 20x10 +35 wheel will stick inward 6 mm more.
• The 305/30/20 rear tire (12.3 section width/11.2 tread) is 1.6" (40.6mm) wider than the 265/35/19 stock rear tire. This means the 305/30/20 tire/10" +35mm wheel would theoretically fit just like a stock M220 265/35/19tire/9.5" +23 wheel with a ~14mm spacer.
• The 305/30/20 rear tire is 1.2" larger in diameter (27.2") and that overall diameter is too large and will very likely cause a good amount of rubbing.

My opinions:
Really the wheel sizes themselves will fit and can look perfect with adding some thin wheel spacers (depending on tire choice). The 265/30 and 305/30 tires are too big and is going to cause you problems in all areas. It would be best to choose a tire that has a maximum diameter of 25.8 to 26" in the front and 26.3-26.5" in the rear. For example a good fitting tire setup would be 245/30/20 and 265/30/20, although a 265mm tire on a 10" wheel looks a tiny bit stretched to me. A 275/30/20 rear tire is possible at 26.5" diameter, but you run a tiny extra risk of rubbing depending on how low your car is, road conditions, etc.

Im really surprised those dont rub on both ends. Im curious what your liners and bumper/fender mounting tabs look like. Id be interested to see if they have been shaved down or modified to make it fit without rubbing.

On a perfectly mint, stock car that is lowered, those tires should rub the liners and bumper tabs.

On a perfectly mint, stock car that is lowered, those tires should rub the liners and bumper tabs.

They rub on hard bumps and humps on the road and the front of the inner fender has some scuffs from the tires.

But other than that no modifications to the inner fender or anything shaved. I only removed the wheels because I don’t like 20” wheels.

Thank you so much for the pictures. I was considering these wheels due to the lowered price locally, but i agree with you about the size. After doing more research on the forum i started to like 18" wheels also. Now just need to find the perfect fitment without using any spacers

"Optimal sizes" really depends on how you plan on using the car or how you want the wheels/tires to fit and look in the wheel arches. That is really an opinion that needs to come from you.

Take a look at this excellent fitment article that Apex wheels did for how different wheel/tire sizes fit on the e9x m3. I think this link will give you the knowledge you need to make an informed decision on what wheel/tire sizes makes sense for your application (regardless if they are Apex wheels or a different brand wheel).
