Breitling Colt Automatic which is my everyday watch, mainly because it's automatic, Omega Constellation and an Oakley which I thought would be my sports activity watch but I never use it

i do not have the santos 100. i have the santos de cartier, not the 2-tone or automatic.

the orises that i have are- TT2 white dial with steel bracelet and the williams F1 steel bracelet with the black dial.

the cartier i bought, the orises were gifts...very nive gitfts i might add.

these are the three i wear the least, although the catier gets more action than both orises.

Found a used, but perfect, limited edition Michael Schumacher signed version of:

That!

Love it!!

Chris, that's a great looking watch. Do you have any suggestions on buying a used watch? I've never bought something that expensive and used online (assuming you bought it online) for fear of getting ripped off. TIA

I've always loved Patek Philippe, a true classic.

I do like the Chopard Mille Miglia this year;

I'm not familiar with their quality though. Any experiences?

Chopard is one of the few remaining independent family-run watch companies that make their own movements-- the "L.U.C.", but the Mille Miglia doesn't use it. They use the very reliable (but common) ETA 2894 movement for this watch, but it's COSC certified. It's still a very, very nice piece. Very high quality.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date YachtMaster. Nice, but annoying having to shake it all the time to keep it running (don't constantly wear it).

Hi deburn - glad you like it too!

Sorry, can't help with the "buying advice" as I got this from a friend who is a jeweller with a local retail shop......if you know what you are looking for, and don't mind shipping from the UK, then I'd be happy to ask him to look out for one......

He's got a gold Rolex there at the moment....talk about heavy!! As new, boxed condition and half the orginal price.....if you like that kind of thing....

Thanks Chrisbin. I like Rolexes but think I'll wait till I'm older before I get one.

In 1986(YES 1986!) I started with a TAG(yes TAG started collaboration in '86 with Heuer) 2000, 200 metres diving watch at the age of 16, just after visiting the Basel Fair that year. 2 McLaren/Porsche F1 cars with Rosberg and Lauda too were there. Just great.

Then came the AP Royal Oak in 1990(1986 model) and I sold it in 2000. And so on and so on(IWC, GP, Patek, Rolex, Jaeger etc) As a reminder, my father is a watchmaker, so it makes a little more sense, doesn't it?

Everyday:
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust in stainless steel with white face and black Roman numerals. It's my everyday watch, because it's been with me since 1989, longer than any other.

Others which come out every now and then:
-Breitling Super Ocean Automatic in stainless steel with black face
-Chronoswiss Delphis in stainless steel with silver face and black leather band

The above watches are listed in order of acquisition. I need to get another watchwinder too as those are all automatic.

Beloved everyday watches from the past:
-Luminox Navy SEAL watch, the original product they put out. That sucker's crown broke off. Oops.
-Some sporty looking analog Casio thing. Crown broke off that sucker too.

I love luxury watches. However, I doubt I would buy something that I would perceive to be of equal or lesser value/workmanship/etc. than the watches I already have. I would buy something more special. Of course, that might mean shelling out $xx,xxx or $xxx, xxx. I'm neither willing, nor able to spend that kind of money at this time.

I might change my tune when I'm earning more money, but for now, this is what I have. A friend asked me what my next watch was going to be. I said, I'm done. Maybe, if/when I can afford to buy something like an IWC Portuguese or one of their Pilot's Watch chronos or something. But who knows? Maybe, I've reached my ceiling on luxury watches. Maybe, I'll just prefer to put my money in some kind of investment or savings vehicle. Maybe, I'll just prefer to put that money into a nicer car. Maybe, I'll just prefer to buy something nice for my woman. I don't know, but for now, I'm done. My watch lust has abated. I still appreciate them, however. Still love to look at them while I window shop.

You could also buy a watchwinder.
