Keep in mind that the formless void differentiates into automotive observations because experiential truth fears precious fulfillment. Additionally, the mind self interacts with reckless success prior to your 10,000 mile service.

Mobile oil changes have been around for a while. The biggest problem with this type of service is people have a lot more confidence in a bricks&mortar shop even though some of those places are staffed by monkeys.

Your target market will likely view the service as a "fly by night, back of the truck" shadiness. Maybe you can overcome that by opening a service centre and offering mobile maintenance as an added value service to customers?

On the other hand, what if you start a service and discover a much more serious issue that cannot be remedied by your mobile setup, so at this point you have a car that is in pieces that you may not be able to put back together without parts and equipment that you don't have immediate access to, as well as a furious customer.

Also, i imagine getting the proper licensing for an operation like this would not be easy.

In any case, best of luck in your endeavor

You would have to be cheaper over any indy/dealer and to gain confidence of any potential clients, offer a warranty and not a BS 3 month warranty. If you stand behind your work, offer at least a 1 year/12k mile warranty. Also, be prepared for nosy competition (ie indy shops) who will hear about you once you start stealing their clients.

We tried something similar here with mobile tire service, I've also seen other companies try it but none seem to last. I think the problem is just price. You typically have to charge more than a brick and mortar place. Even if you don't have some of the overhead of a brick and mortar place you just can't do the volume with a mobile service that you can in a brick and mortar.

So even though it's more convenient I think most of the people that would benefit from the convenience are turned off by the increased price. Those that are not as price sensitive just drop it off at the dealer, get a loaner and go about their business.

Theres a ton of repair shops around both big and small and they are usually packed. However I haven't seen anyone take any significant market share with a mobile service. Not saying it can't be done, just think there's probably more to it.

Nope. If I need the car worked on, I just take my laptop and work from the reception area.
