Exclamation ✚WHEELSTO | New Product Release - ADVAN TC-III Racing Wheel

Bimmerpost,

We here at WheelSTO are proud to announce the release of the new Yokohama/ADVAN TC-III for BMW 5x120 PCD. Based off the original Advan TC-II. It features a strong and very lightweight flow form cast design.

The Yokohama/ADVAN TC-III is a racing wheel specifically built for the fellow track enthusiast to the hardcore racer. The main objective was to create an extremely light weight racing wheel without sacrificing strength with the use of S-Tires, or racing slicks on the circuit. It was developed to clear up to 390mm Porsche 997 GT3RS or (BBK) Big brake kits, and it supplies ample clearance for larger calipers with the beautiful, and aggressive concave spokes Yokohama/ADVAN has mastered over the years.

good-looking, simple design. I like it.

I assume this will clear the Brembo 380mm kit if it clears the 390mm Porsche brakes?

giggity

18x9.5 ET35 seems perfect for a square setup on the M3, don't know why it's called "non-M" here?

because the offset is high. you could never mount an r-compound on that up front without a spacer unless you ran a narrow tire, and it would need a spacer in the rear under all circumstances.

quite agree....

the M3 works well in 9.5 with et of around 25 or so.
This is especially true in 18" when customer are trying to run 275/35-18.

but, what a beauty!

Looks kind of like a cast TE37?
Hope it's cheaper than the TE37-SL

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

it was mentioned briefly in the OT, but the TCIII really came about due to rising need for 18" wheels for the GT-R and the 997GT3/RS. the 18" wheels were more in demand in Japan and of course the biggest criteria was the Brakes on those cars (something that M3 owners share as well).

It is only a preview/release for now but expect to see some pricing and more information to be released within the coming weeks/months.

delivery is scheduled to be around May/June Timeframe.

Only 15" - 17" - 18" available for now.
Pricing is around the same cost as Advan Racing RG-D range.

How come the pics in the first post (dark gun metallic) look so different than the ones on the GTR? It states that they're both dark gun metallic. It looks like straight up matte black while the other looks like glossy gun metal. Btw I love the matte black looking one in the 1st post.

You mention these are strong. Would this not make a good street tire if one wanted to go with a square setup?

Cheers.

The pics are supposed to the gun metallic. They just don't have good pictures... and since we can't get our hands on one yet, we have to rely on the pictures for the recent Tokyo Auto Salon for details.

they sure would. Emphasis is on the track due to their ability to hold large brakes and weight, but if you want them for street, this would be a great wheel as well. They are JWL VIA certified and fully street legal in Japan.

I like the way they got the low offset/large back pad weight off the wheel by hogging out the interior of the pad to remove the unnecessary material. Very innovative compared to a lot of wheels that use a 5" thick back pad with 4" deep lug holes, and it seems to still leave lots of material where it matters. Will be good to see these in the weight comparison thread...

Hi Julius,

what wheel sizes in 18" can be used without rubbing? My M3 (2010 E92) is lowered with Eibach springs. They may will be replaced by a Bilstein PSS10.
Thanks.

There is no perfect size.
with the wheel wells on the M3, you have quite a bit that you can work with.
It also depends on the kind of tires that you want to run, especially, if you want to go with a Track set up.

the most popular "custom" set up has been 18 - 9.5/10.0 or 10.5 in the back.

As for the TC III, there is only a couple of options.
18X9.0 +17 ~ M3E9X sizing
18X9.5 +35 ~ Non M E9X sizing but can be done with 10mm spacers.
18X10.5 +25 ~ M3E9X sizing
