Car looks excellent, no F series car will ever deliver the same experience from the E9X M3.

Nice find! I can relate to the angst about trading backwards in years...I just went through that myself. But that’s a beautiful car

Wow looks great with such low miles, congratulations. I just bought mine a couple of months ago also. So far I have done some programming, stock exhaust mod "sounds great" now, upgraded angel eyes. I completed a few DIY repairs, rear brakes, rear bearings, brake booster vacuum pump, diff fluid soon. But you will be good to go for a long time as far as repairs. Programming the features I wanted was really rewarding. Also plan on getting a tune very soon to bring out beast and drivability. The car stock is programmed down from what I understand, the DCT and Engine will benefit from a tune. I find myself in 7th gear doing 40...

Personally I think it looks great on cars where CF contrasts too much (white, silver IMHO).

I see. Thank you for the clarification.

That's because you're driving it in auto mode. Stop doing that and you'll be in whatever gear you want to be in.

Seriously. I've been in a bad mood and stressing about work lately. I literally caught myself smiling on the drive to work this morning.

This. Completely different driving experience when you stop driving in auto mode.

Yea it's weird, I have always detested 219's. That keeps changing the more I see them on awesome looking cars like OP's.

I also went from an F32 to an E92 M3. Best decision I made. The F3X is just too comfortable, smooth and boring. Nothing excites me about that car besides the fact that it made a great daily driver

You're comparing a non-M F30 car to an M3 E9x, however, for the F generation this is not unfair as both the F8x M3 and the non-M F have electric steering and except for the increase in HP from a more boosted turbo the F8x M have lost the character of a true sport NA, lack of high reving engine sound and associated throttle response.

I think you're agreeing with me, but I'm not sure. I also test drove a 335is. What a fun car that is. I'm not all about power. Driving dynamics are probably more important to me.

Congrats on a wise choice! Now any paranoia on the overly blown rod bearing issue?

Not really. I figure I'll do an oil analysis at every oil change (5k miles), and go from there. I generally drive like an old lady and have yet to see the shift lights come on. Have not been over 5k or so RPMs. If the bearings show excessive wear, then I'll replace them. The throttle actuators should be good for another 30k miles or so I'll deal with those when the time comes.
I did a ton of research and honestly, even with those issues looming in the back of your mind, a good example of this car is truly worth owning.
