i have this same issue. My m3 came with the stud conversion kit (love it) but this ebrake situation is annoying. I think we may have to remove a stud to do this procedure. :/

if you take off the wheel there should be a rubber plug on the rotor hub surface you can pop out to adjust the cable tension.
