bad battery
can a bad battery throw you into limp mode? i think its my throttle ectuator but my battery is old too.

Bad battery can throw all sorts of errors. Check your voltage to confirm that it is reading correctly. You can monitor the voltage while driving to ensure your alternator is charging properly. If those two things check out it is most likely your throttle actuators. Use carly to pull the codes. My alternator went at the same time as my TAs so diagnosing was a pain, not sure how helpful it'll be, but you can see my headache below.
