EDC on non-Competition package

Im in the process of purchasing an M3 years 2011-2013. Im looking for one with the competition package but the majority of the m3's that match the mileage, color etc don't seem to have the competition package but do have the EDC button on the middle console. Is there a difference between the EDC on a non-comp compared to one that has the Comp package? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the springs, struts, and EDC software is slightly different in the ZCP package.

Yes. The parts are different, as is the programming. The easiest way to describe the software difference is this: on non-comp cars, when the EDC is in the stiffest setting, the dampers are "locked". On comp package cars, they are NOT locked in the stiffest setting.
