Battery cable recall on 2011, with Dinan ECU flash
I tried searching but found no answer to this question.
I took my 2011 m3 to get the battery cable recall performed. Will this service result in a loss of a prior Dinan ECU flash? I dont think it would, but then again, do not know much about ECU flashing. The car feels about the same, but then again i didnt ever feel much difference with the Dinan ECU flash. Thanks. |

Thanks for all the replies guys.
My car was asymptomatic and working fine. I got a letter from BMW for the recall. Apparently, the battery connector can over time fail and cause you be unable to start the car, or throw unexpected codes. You can call your local dealer, give them the last few of your vin, and they'll tell you if your car is included in the recall. It was a 2 hr job at the dealership. They have to take down your glovebox to access the cable. |
