ZCP wheels vs Non-ZCP factory wheels?

I was reading a thread about the ZCP package and a member here mentioned that the 19 inch ZCP wheels are not forged, but the factory 19inch wheels are forged.

I like the ZCP package and I like both factory 19 and the ZCP wheels, in fact, I like the factory 19s a little more. And if the factory 19 are forged but the ZCP 19 is not, then I definitely want to go with the factory 19.

My question is, are there any way to order the ZCP package but get the factory 19 wheels? And are the US version of the ZCP wheels really not forged like their Euro counterparts?

(The $1500 holiday credit and $500 price increase caused me to seriously considering pulling the trigger now...)

Do ZCP for both re-sale value and because it's that much "better" but as far as the rims go they are aesthetically pleasing to many on the forums so don't brag about how their not forged and sell them to one of us and get those forged 19z you want.

The main thing for me would be the weight of the rims.
If you get the rim protection plan then your fine as far as damage goes, don't forget their BMW wheel after all.

Speaking of rims those new 18" stock rims are terrible, not even gun metal anymore

In the past (..on the E46 ZCP), it was possible to order ZCP without the BBS mesh wheels. I suppose that it can still be done.

It can certainly be done, by ordering the ZCP package, AND paying for the 220M 19" wheels.

But that would be a huge waste of money.

To the OP, if you really want the 220M wheels, you should just order the 19" wheels and EDC as an a la carte option.

That is what I'm doing to do.

Frankly ZCP is in many ways a marketing device. It has 1cm dropped suspension (1cm... really) and a slightly different sport mode on the damper control.

Others have said that you can always order ZCP and swap wheels, but I really want my car to arrive to the dealer exactly how it's going to stay.

And that's why I'll be choosing 220M wheels and EDC, NOT ZCP.

FORGED FTW!

That's how I spec'd my e90. I think the 220s just look better, especially with space gray.

That was an ordering error as there was no discount for the missing ZCP wheels as the cost was the full $4000 for the ZCP and the $1200 for the forged wheels.

The E90/92 M3 ZCP cannot be ordered in conjunction with the forged wheels.

wheels

If someone wants the forged non ZCP 19" wheels I have a set I'd trade for ZCP's. I'm in Tampa, FL...the wheels are mint and have 8k miles on them.

You would think BMW would in fact be more than happy to take your money for ZCP an for the 220M wheels. Like you said, no discount, like before.
