Help diagnosing fault code 27B4
I was hoping someone would be able to help me figure out what fault code 27B4 is. I just recently replaced my Bank 2 throttle actuator (thanks to the excellent write-up on replacing it as well to the author), which fixed the issue of it going into limp mode, but I still have fault code 27B4.
The BT tool refers to it as : 27B4 Gear leergassen switch of manual transmission. I looked up "leergassen" which means "open lanes", but still don't really know what the fault code is referring to. I clear the fault code, but it just pops up again without even starting the car. No error messages display on the dash or the nav screen and I don't notice any issues with the car. Also, if anyone knows of a good resource for information on BMW fault codes, that would be great. Although the BT tool is great, it can be a little vague on the description of the fault code, at least to me. Any help is appreciated, Thanks! |

In other BMW cars, that code is reported as 'Ambient Pressure Sensor'! I have no idea what/where it is but I remember checking my repair history before buying and I think that was one of the things repaired on the car.
Is your car MT though?

Yeah, manual transmission. Thats about all I could turn up too on my google searching, "ambient pressure sensor". The fact that somehow its a sensor related to the transmission has me a little concerned...
