E92 M3 vs. E46 M3

Saw this on another board as a signature. Seems to sum things up in a really funny, historical way.

Actually, if you consider the historical context of this post, it ain't saying the E46 is better, it's means the new M3 is NOT horrible. You know, just like the Americans were actually IN Baghdad.

I've not owned an E46 M3, but that V8 has got to be more torquey than the 3.2L six. AND, my biggest gripe about the 3.2L is that it's peak power and redline were too close together. With the engine computer registering over-revs, you can't safely get to all that 333hp, and downshifts become more nervous too.

Don't get me wrong, I love all M3s, especially the E46. I am jsut ready for a screaming V8! :rocks:

Of course it isn't. You missed the point entirely. The Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf was known for always lying, being totally uninformed, not wanting to admit the truth or just simply being clueless. The humor of the picture and quote is that it is funny to see such staunch E46 M3 "support" and E92 M3 "dissing" in light of how badly the new car will smoke the old one performance wise.
