i hate opening this ad cause the car looks amazing. the 30k miles on the engine since supercharged is a bit concerning but my real concern is the catless xpipe... i'm pretty sure the oem midpipe is just a bolt on so it cant be too hard to put back on (for stupid emissions/registration) but isnt the ecu programmed specifically for the catless xpipe? wouldnt the car throw some kind of o2 sensor CEL once the awful cat oem midpipe is reinstalled?
never had an aftermarket supercharged car so no experience here.
car looks great!

I'm happy to meet up with seller and give you guys an honest description of the car. A heads up before a PPI type of look. The good the bad and the ugly although from what I see in photos and I am reading all I see is good. Maybe cjm41 would be interested in doing so also and we can get you guys two sets of eyes. What do you say OP

I will be honest and tell you that the installation of the OEM mid pipe is not an option. The stock cats are not designed to handle the massive output generated by the SC and this is why you will need to install an aftermarket High Flow cats. As for the SC mileage goes, I have never had any problems with it and many can attest that Active Autoworks is the best and most reliable out there.

thanks. the idea wouldnt be to run the car with the oem midpipe. just to swap it in temporarily for emissions/registration and swap it back out. just concerned that it triggers some kind of cel code when doing thatas the o2 sensor will read a different level with and without cats obviously. and cel is a whole big mess in terms of registration in my state

Aaah I see.... well you can probably do that you will just indeed need to reprogram the computer to account for the cats sensors. The stock cats will work just fine as long as you don't push the car too much, which is the beauty of the SC. If you don't floor the gas peddle the car drives and runs as stock. It is only after you floor it and you cross the 3k RPM the SC really kicks in. Also an alternative approach would be to just sell this mid pipe and buy one that comes with high flow cats or buy high flow cats and fit them to this one.

Where you at in St. Pete? I don't see many E9X M3s around...
I'm rarely see E9x M3s around here as well. I see tons of f8x M3s/4s. I live over in Kenwood but am moving downtown next week, my car will be sitting in the 930 Central parking garage (ground level) so it'll likely be visible from 1st Ave South on the left just after you pass the Trop.

Where did you have the work done, Tuning Dynamics?

I'd be happy to take a look for a serious out-of-area buyer.

thanks. the potential possibility of having to deal with detuning/retuning is a huge detractor. really appreciate all your help and replies
