Just Got the Car and....Fault Codes: 002B0D, 002B57, 0027B2, 002B59, 005E19, 006050
Hi All, recently purchased an 08 M3 and brought the car home on an 3 hours drive with no issues and the PPI came back clean.
However, I experienced the limp mode messages twice upon start up but would go away after restarting the car. I have not been able to drive the car since I still need to register in my state. So I decided to get the Carly system and first time running the diagnostic pulled the below codes. I have erased all the codes and everything except for the DSC 005E19 remains. I searched for each code and most had a fix but I was wondering if there is an underlying issue that is causing multiple codes. I am wondering if anyone experienced this set of codes before I start throwing parts at it. Thanks in advance. Engine / Motor Fault Code: 002B0D Fault Explanation: Idle speed control monitoring Bank 1 Fault Code: 002B57 Fault Explanation: Engine emergency program activated Fault Code: 0027B2 Fault Explanation: Secondary air system throughput backbone Fault Code: 002B59 Fault Explanation: Kuehlmittelthermostat monitoring ✗ ABS / DSC / Brake Dynamische Stabilitaets Kontrolle / DSC Fault Code: 005E19 Fault Explanation: :Coil outlet valve (dump) shorted front right / DSC-ECU: ECU-internal: Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI): ID request not accepted --- (DSC: ECU internal) / DSC-ECU: ECU-internal: Serial Peripherial interface (SPI): ID request not accepted. / CAN DME / DDE, engine torque not adjustable / DSC-ECU: ECU-internal: Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI): ID request not accepted. / CAN DME / DDE, engine torque not adjustable / DSC-ECU: ECU-internal: Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI): ID request not accepted. / CAN DME / DDE, engine torque not adjustable. Fault Code: 00604E Fault Explanation: :Error RDC system / Error tire pressure control system Fault Code: 006050 Fault Explanation: :Error transmission channel VR Also, when I had the PPI done, the only fault codes worth mentioning that happened a long time ago was a pre-cat oxygen sensor and the Thermostat stuck open. I'm no expert but I'd say just by looking at the fault codes your idle control valve may be the culprit.

Thanks, that's what I thought as well but wasnt sure if it will trigger the other codes.
I was hoping it was the throttle Actuators so that I can get those over with..lol... |

The one time I had a bunch of crazy fault codes that didn't make sense, I cleared them all with my scanner and charged the battery to full. Car has been a the shop and somehow they drained the battery a bit, but it was still fine to drive and start.
This may not cure your problem but it's a good place to start. The DME system does not like low voltage. That fixed it for me. |

It sounds like battery voltage is low. Either recharge the battery or replace it if it's 5 yrs old/older.
If codes still come back, throttle actuators could be the culprit since those throw multiple codes as well. Let us know what you find |

Provided voltage is good, replace the o2 sensors and ICV+ Idle strips, clear, and see what returns.

Regarding idle strips, do they usually need to be replaced with the ICV? Also, is there 1 or 2 for this car? Lastly, is removing the idle strips part of the process when removing the ICV? Thanks again. |
