FYI...for those with PFC brakes - I heard that the owner passed away and the family is in the process of shutting things down. You can get parts...at least for now.

I'd verify but I know someone was trying to get the matching rear BBK and it was NLA for an E9X M3.

No PFC BBKs on Bimmerworld's website. Go check.

Bimmerworld is one of the main PFC distributors.

PFC no longer builds BBKs, but continues to support them. I am yet to have an issue buying spares, pads, rotors, etc from BimmerWorld

That's monoblock. I believe the Alcon is two piece?

Still curious why Essex specs the 34mm vs. the 36mm if the setup accommodates both. Aside from the small weight increase, why would they opt for the smaller one?

I sent Jeff a note to inquire about the other sizes and whether they fit the Essex hat. Obviously I'd order from them anyhow, so hope it's not a point of contention.

There's speculation the PCD is 240mm for Essex, thus the better rotor ring is the 378mm x 36mm options which are also 240mm vs what I referenced previously (375mm x 36mm) which was 241mm.

I think it's weight (several pounds per rotor), and having a custom spec that locks you into their package?

Got it. I've enjoyed working with them also, so let me know what you find out and I may follow your lead next time around.

What about rebuild kits? Something we desperately need considering nothing is out there anymore for our brakes. I have yet to hear back from PFC regarding this.

From our discussion in Discord, my friend has an M2 with AP racing 372x34mm and replaced his rotors with non-AP Racing rotor rings with PCD 240mm.

The weight difference between 378x36 vs 372x34 is about 1.5lbs per side.

I also have rebuild kits. When I need something for my two PFC kits I just call BimmerWorld and that's it.

Despite all the gloom and doom I've heard on forums about PFC for almost a decade, when I need pads/rotors/rebuilds/etc I call BW and they have whatever I need

That's funny because when I called Bimmerworld 1.5 months ago regarding to squire a rebuild kit for my PFC's…..their exact words were …. "Sorry we don't have access to rebuild kits for the PFC BBK, nothing is available unfortunately"

GREAT THANKS Bimmerworld

Curious about this. Has anyone with 9660/9668 fronts moved from 372x34 to 378x36?
