I have a freaky parts kit. Works good at less than half the price of a StopTech. Bought rotors from FCP, never have to pay for them again.

Would I notice a difference with a ST kit? Maybe. Would it equate to lap time? Doubt it on a single lap, but I'm not racing..

Slow tires are on, but they are wide shouldered! First tire I’ve needed a spacer for on a 10.5 et25 wheel…And I just sold my 5mm spacers to someone at the track who needed them, doh!

P.S. I didn’t upload upside-down and 90 degree turned photos…

295/30 on 18x10.5. You shouldn’t have shock body clearance issues at least.

My 295/30 Hoosiers and Toyo RRs rub with the same width/offset and same suspension.

The Toyos clear with my other wheels 18x10.5 +22 (never tried the Hoosiers on these)

They are machined vs cast I think (photos and videos out there of the process) plus the anodized finish cleans up perfectly and doesn't flake from brake fluid like the painted calipers. Imagine they shed heat better also but don't know that for sure. Anyway, my vote is the trophies. Congrats on the build!
Another vote for the ST trophy ST60/ST40. I run those with Carbotech and I swear they could stop a train! In the process of replacing rings after 2 years of hard running. Calipers are easily rebuilt as well.

Well...Stoptech STR60 and ST60 are out of the question now unless I want to buy new wheels...again. Per Apex they won't clear my wheels. Anyone know if the Essex AP kits will clear the 18x10.5 +27 ARC 8s? I'm beginning to regret not getting the +22. Apparently the +27 is an old barrel design with less clearance.

Coming down to STR40, ST40, or Essex AP at this point unless I want to unmount my new RS4s and sell my new wheels. The price gap is intense.

Which Essex kit?

I fit 9660 on the front with 18x10 et25. Not sure if the 9668 will fit.

Try printing out the template (actual size not fit to size) and test on your wheel. This is the 9660 caliper template.

Would have to be the 9660 since my budget is already getting obliterated.

I printed it yesterday at work and I'm going to double check with it but Apex replied to me and confirmed it would fit as well.

They did say price increases were coming this year!

Looks like $500 on the 9660 kit, glad I placed my order when I did... too bad I am still waiting for shipment.

Brey Krause seat guys; red or blue loctite?
(On OEM Slider hardware specific) Not side mount to seat.

blue is more than enough for seats, if you use red you will hate your life if you ever need to pull them back out

Didn't even occur to me to use loctite for this. FWIW I haven't had an issue with anything coming loose but I'm also not much of a must always torque everything to spec person. Most stuff on my car is probably tighter than it's supposed to be.

I definitely did not torque my seat down and it has zero loctite. Ran it all season with no issues.

Yeah and I'm seeing a bunch of online vendors showing the old prices still.

Current price of the CP9660 kit would be $4899 + shipping and possibly tax and no pads which would put me somewhere around $5500-5600 all in after buying pads.

I am looking at Burkhart Engineering in Germany now. They have an AP racing kit, same (?) CP9660 caliper, but 378x34 disc size, AND they include Pagid RS29 pads for $4400 shipped roughly. I'm having trouble seeing why I shouldn't just go that way and save myself nearly a grand over Essex + pads. Doesn't have dust seals...I don't daily this though.

Well, Burkhart in Germany won’t work: “ I am afraid shipping this kit to the US makes no sense, due to the size and weight sorry.”

EDIT: they will sell it to me, it will just be 350-400 euros to ship. That still makes it quite a bit cheaper than the Essex kit + buying pads.

Can also check out the Paragon kit like Derek (derbo) recently picked up. I believe it's cost is more economical and gives you the nice AP calipers.
