Why? As far as I know the Lambda adapters don't work, and the 100 cell cat won't pass inspection. Seems like a waste of money they should've left them out all together. It would've made this otherwise really really nice system cheaper.

I can't vote cause I haven't heard the Gintani in person. But I have the AA, with the Fabspeed x-pipe and HFC's, I'm sure it sounds very similar if not the same as full AA. It sounds great. Deep rumble at idle, but gets the higher pitch sound soon as you get on the gas.

Give me a week and I'll have my Gintani . I'll make videos of both the AA & Gintani and get them posted up.

Gintani FTW! trust me the sound is insane, people will here u coming and pull over. lol I love my exhaust and have had several compliments. Ive heard people say it sounds like a nascar, a lambo, a 1000cc street bike. It has a great tone change through out the RPM band which makes it different from all the exhaust kits out there. It builds a different tone every rpm until 8300 and u love every sound coming from it. I was at cars and coffee off valley circle yesterday and I had about 15 people come up to me and tell me if I could start my car and rev it. They said they heard me coming in and loved the sound. Either way AA makes great stuff too, but i dont think just because they have been out longer makes their products better. Trust me Gintani is building their name as we speak and I give it no more then a year for them to gain everyones respect as they have earned mine.

Titanium for one. And the cats aren't there for inspection purposes its there to reduce loudness and that crazy smell.

They really chose cats for sound? That seems like an odd choice while designing an exhaust system to use for sound control.

It sucks for "conservative" E90 owners, since there's a compromise with both choices. AA's tips stick too far out, and Gintani's tips are shorter for us, but massive. Not my style. I would have been really tempted by the Gintani otherwise. They do sound great!

AA or Akrapovic. I have AA and it is loud enough especially if you have DCT. When you drive around town in D-mode you always seem to be in the drone range 2500 RPM. I personally think it's loud but everyone that hears it says it's sounds sooooooooo soooooooooo good. AA for reputation and quality. I have the latest version of the AA and it has 2 mounting brackets for height adjustment of the mufflers so if you add a rear difuser you can lower the height for a not so cramped look. I must admit the AA tips stick out a little but it grew on me once Hamman comes out with there carbon rear diffuser for the E-90 they will look like a piece of art. AA all the way. And if you have some Serious flow of green backs Akrapovic would be nice but i haven't seen any photos of the Akra on a E90 plus the titan tips don't turn me on. If they had Polished tips would look alot better. Just my 2 cents

I doubt anyone that voted have heard both IRL. So the poll is pretty useless IMO. I'd go with AA just because they've been in the game longer and is a proven company. I didn't vote btw.

I'm aiming to get all the installs done around the same time. I don't think I'll post up a thread to which ssk I should go with. It's pretty much a done deal that I'll go with the UUC. |
