Horrible service from BenSopra Beware!

I'll try to make this relatively brief
I ordered a set of wheels in January through another source. The wheel shipment from Japan kept getting delayed and as the winter was winding down (I'm in MA) it was finally time to shed the snow setup and enjoy my summer tires. After hearing about another months delay I started reaching out to find a vendor who had ZE40s in stock and ready to go. Ricky from BenSopra claimed he had them and we're ready to ship. I then cancelled my first order and paid in full to BenSopra while I waited for my original refund and here's what followed

April 2: paid in full I was told the wheels would be inspected and shipped that day
April 3: I asked if the wheels had shipped I was told no they didn't have time. Inspection takes 32-40min and that they'd get done that day and shipped since they had a couple orders going out that day
April 6: I asked about the wheels. I was told they were closed Easter weekend and that they'd get done that day
April 7: I asked if they were shipped again. I was told he has a new warehouse and an old on and things "overlapped" while moving to the new one and an apology for the delay. I asked if they were truly in stock and was told they "always have them in stock" and mine were the last set they had. I expressed concerns about the shipping time and was told they "always ship out same day because inspection is only a 1-2hr process" then was asked if I'd give him 2 more days to complete the shipment
April 8: asked about shipping time from CA to MA. Was told 4-5 days that he try his best to get everything all set
April 9: I asked if they shipped. I was told they weren't and that 4/11 was the last day in their old warehouse and they weren't bringing anything from the old one with them so the wheels would be shipped regardless.
April 14: I expressed my dissatisfaction with the shipping time as well as the claim the wheels would ship when I paid when he withheld the knowledge that he might have a delay due to his moving. I was given an apology for the lack of responses to my emails and that fedex shipping would follow his email
April 16: once again asked the same question and suggested he may have sold wheels he didn't have in stock YET. I was told he doesn't need to cheat me for the money. I was told he'd send a pic of the warehouse to prove he has them (never got that pic) I was told to ask volk who the biggest dealer is for ZE40 and how many they bring in. I was told he tight up with moving and would try to ship the next day
April 17: asked again. Was told pick up was set up for that day and he'd follow up with tracking. I asked why I didn't receive final inspection pics and was told he didn't have full access due to his new warehouse
April 18: was sent fedex tracking number
April 24: had the wheels held at FedEx so I could personally pick up and sign had install appt set for the next day. I go to pick up the wheels and what do I get? 3 wheels! Last I checked BMW required 4 wheels for proper operation of the vehicle! Called to inquire after 2x not answering I get Ricky on the phone tell him what happened he says he'll look into it and call me back that night. No return call
April 25: called/emailed Ricky I was told his shipping sept doesn't work Saturdays so he needs to wait too Monday to inquire about the missing wheel. I was also told he just received a set and worst case he'd pull one of those and ship it to me
April 27: I emailed about the wheel. I was told shipping dept had not yet arrived and that he had meetings that day. And that my issue was the first thing on the work order. I asked him to overnight the wheel once it's located because now my winters were running really low and I had concerns. I was told he'd have to locate the wheel first but if it were his fault he would overnight it. I asked he'd push fedex to cover overnight shipping if it's their fault (being a business that frequently uses fedex) he said yes he would take care of me since I'm his customer
April 29: I asked about the status of the wheel. I was told tomorrow they'd be checking their entire inventory from morning to evening and that fedex would also keep him posted
April 30: I expressed a real concern that if the wheel isn't shipped very soon I'd miss another weekend to get an appt to install the tires to the wheels. I was told he hasn't run away that he had meetings all week. And that he'd call and find out. My next email I asked if he'd overnight the wheel he just took delivery of that way he can have all the time he wants to find the missing wheel. He said he'd call and instruct his shipping dept to do just that
May 1: emailed said if the wheel isn't overnighted that day it wouldn't arrive Saturday for for me to get the install done. That email was not returned.
May 2: I emailed to ask what's going on with the wheel. That email was not returned as of now (4:38 EST)

If BenSopra or anyone else posts here to try to dispute my claims, downplay what happened or dispute the timeline I am more than willing to screenshot the emails from my iPhone and post them up! It's MAY and I am still driving on Snow tires and beat up winter wheels...bald snow tires at that!!

I hear ya bro. Truly sorry for what you are going through. But at the same time you are getting the run around and God knows if he has it or not. You have been more than patient. There are plenty of other wheel options out there. Best of luck

May 5: I was told the new set he took delivery of a couple weeks ago, that he'd take one wheel from for me was not actually in his possession and was actually sold weeks prior. I was offered to be shipped a demo wheel until he can ship my new wheel at the expense and hassle of swapping tires and rims multiple times. With the claim id be refunded the additional cost. I was told a container with another set had just arrived. I basically asked to just make it priority to have a new wheel shipped.
May 6: asked about the wheel. No reply

May 8: pointed out its been 3 days without a reply, 2 weeks since I told him I only got 3 wheels and 6 weeks since I paid for "in stock" merchandise. No reply. Sent another email that's it's ridiculous that in 3 days they couldn't pull a box clearly marked ZE40 MGB 5x120 10.5. NO REPLY!

May 9: expressed my disgust with his service and made it known that I can escalate this to BBB or CA state agencies that deal with poor business. Finally got a response that they're "on the way" and he'd call me to tell me why the delay. Never got a call. Then emailed asking for the tracking number. No reply

May 11: asked again for a tracking number. Here's the response copied and pasted

I just filed the claim with FedEx, I'm told that within 24-48 hours I will be able to receive an answer. Once its clear, I will get your wheel shipped right away.
I apologize for the delay on shipping. Our old shop got broke in last week. It's been a messy dealing with insurance and police. Also the thefts that broke in the old shop made a big messy on the back. We just got the wood board to seal up today.
Fortunately I keep your wheel in my personal car. Please allow me to have one or two days to ship your products out.

Glad to see that BenSopra aka The R's Tuning is still the sh*t company it used to be.

Not sure why you haven't disputed credit card yet. You paid for a product and received it incomplete. You are wasting too much time. The sooner the CC company pulls the money from their account, the quicker your issues will be resolved. Right now you have no leverage to get anything you want. By disputing your CC he has everything to lose. Either he is forced to pay return shipping on his own product which I would find the most expensive way to do, or he will finally have to ship you the final wheel. And at this point you can order it from anywhere else as I was waiting for my volks as well and they recently got a big shipment in, so they should be in stock with Mackin.

Call Mackin or another distributor to confirm that they still have your exact wheel in stock, but I finally got my wheels not too long ago after waiting a couple months for their next shipment to come in.

I understand being patient, but I don't understand being patient while being lied to. Ask him for a copy of the police report re: being broken into or it didn't happen. But either way....yah, I'd file a dispute before you run out of time.
