Reviving an old thread.

If aspect ratio (45 front, 65 rear) and overall height (19) are the same on the tires for both zcp and non zcp wheels, why would these look any different in terms of wheel gap on a non-zcp car with standard wheels?

OEM ZCP Wheel & Tire Specifications
Front: 19x9" ET31 - 245/35-19
Rear: 19x10" ET25 - 265/35-19

** GTS wheels are the same, only painted black. Tires on the GTS are 255/35-19 front 285/30-19 rear.

OEM 220 Wheel & Tire Specifications
Front: 19x8.5" ET29 - 245/35-19
Rear: 19x9.5" ET23 - 265/35-19

The tire sizes on the OEM 220 wheels and ZCP wheels are exactly the same, both using a 35 aspect ratio front and rear (bolded above). The overall heights/rolling diameters between the two sets are exactly the same as you indicated, despite the differences in wheel widths and offsets.

The reason why ZCP/GTS wheels look slightly different on a non-ZCP is due to the difference in springs part numbers between the two cars. The ZCP springs result in a 10mm lower ride height, so this minimizes the wheel gap and creates a better look. As discussed in this thread, non-ZCP owners can simply install aftermarket lowering springs (or full coilovers) to minimize the wheel gap and/or upgrade to slightly wider and taller tires; 255/35-19 front / 275/35-19 rear.

Thanks, Ryan. Basically, etiher set of wheels would look 'better' on a ZCP car since it's slightly lower.

On my E93. Spacing is fine. No rubbing and looks good as long as you can clean them well enough!
