The OP acted immaturely and didn't have to stalk Larry on this forum to get his attention. On top of that I'm sure a simple phone call or pm'ing and waiting for a response first would be the most sensible way. It seems that Larry was more than nice to fix the situation without hesitation. Some people just have no dignity these days...

I don't owe anybody anything.
And no, I did not read his post incorrectly.
persian54 knows how he wrote it and how it came out.
Apparently, he misinterpreted his point. Therefore, I agree with him and let put this at rest.

He was stating that there are scammers out there on a thread that calls out Larry. That doesn't mean he was referring to Larry?
You don't have to be smart to understand that was an indirect accusation.

you're perception is twisted... or you're reading too far into it. in the end, he said there are scammers out there. he never pointed the finger, he was stating a fact. that is all.

believe it or not... if persian wanted to call someone out, he would flat out do it. he has no qualms about calling someone out but the fact of the matter is that he has NO REASON to call out Larry and IMO, you read too far into it. /discussion.

Sure, he had no reason to call Larry out.
He also had no reason to comment something unless it's helpful.
That kind of comment is either:
1. Agree with OP that Larry is a scammer, or
2. Just like you said, useless opinion which might confuse someone else.

Like I said before, that was an INDIRECT accusation.
Instead of directly pointing finger to Larry, he pointed finger under his arm.
Of course, he felt that he was not pointing any fingers by saying that.
Well, I guess he needs to be more selective on his words, or else learn how to stfu.
How does that comment help OP solve his problem?
Was that a consolation comment?
I don't need 8000+ posts to meet and know that Biglare is a respectable person.

Larry is an MFEST fam, I'd defend him against any possible negative comment.
If someone were to say "beware of member E90///M3`", I would do the same.
I know you and I know you're cool, plus you're a fam.
If you were in that situation, how would you feel if I say "there are a lot of scammers these days", instead of defending you?
So, NO, I did not read it too far.

Maybe you should follow your own advice?

Considering you posted in the thread after the issue was handled and the problem/miscommunication between the buyer/seller was resolved.

I guess from you understanding.... if you're part of the MFest fam you're always correct, and if you're not part of the Mfest Fam, you are automatically wrong/ridiculed against etc? Makes one really want to join Mfest....

I'm not trying to say anything negative about Mfest; I have plenty of friends in the Mfest fam and everyone who I have met from the Mfest fam are great enthusiasts who have plenty of positive and informative things to say.
I have learned things about my M that I wouldn't have known otherwise and I'm grateful for that.

Point being you are the one who is fighting now and in this thread: you are making yourself (and since it seems you are referring to yourself as a representative of the Mfest fam..correct me if I'm wrong) and the Mfest fam not look your very best.

Now go let out any frustration by reving that beautiful engine of ours
I know that it always puts a smile on my face.

I do not think asking someone, who made mistakes, to apologize is USELESS or UNNECESSARY.
You do not apologize while investigation is still going on.
You apologize after the truth is out.
Therefore, the post was made after it was solved.
Get your steps right.

You don't have to apologize if you don't want to apologize, or don't see yourself doing anything wrong, or even thinking that apology is overrated.
I understand that asking you to apologize to Larry for your silly, unsupported comment, might make you look like an idiot who speaks before even thinking.
Therefore, I also understand that my point might make you think that we don't look our best.

You dragged MFEST about being always right and this and that, which is
You didn't mean to talked $hit about MFEST; but don't matter because you just did.
We can always go there if you want.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Anyways, forum bickering is boring, a time waster, and goes no where. You turned this thread into a thread from OT. I would expect this from a thread over there... but not one here. You have helped this thread go completely off topic and ruined it. I would suggest getting a mod in here to clean up all the useless posts (me yours etc) and getting it back to what it was. You are being what is defined as a troll.

Maybe you should look at posts 26 and 29 and see what was said in those posts... ones where more than a single sentence as written

Larry, I hate this BS and sorry you had to deal with it. I hope you have made a claim with UPS so you can get your money back. You shouldn't have had to pay for UPS's negligence.

+1.

FedEX has refunded me before, so I don't see why UPS won't.

Insurance is bought for a reason.

UPS will reimburse the full amount of insurance bought. However, it will take like a month haha.

Bradah, I think it's time for you to grow up.
My first post in this thread was just saying that you owe Larry an apology because you were indirectly accusing him of being one of the scammers out there.
I appreciate you standing by Larry after investigation was done.
But still, you came into this thread with an indirect accusation against Larry when you only heard from OP's side of story.
That is the only reason why I said you owe Larry an apology.
If you refuse to apologize, it's fine. That is all.

I wasn't going OT when I asked you to apologize; it wasn't OT until you talked $hit about MFEST.
You went OT first by dragging all other unrelated scams from other threads into this thread.
Btw, replying to a troll back and forth makes you a troll too.
Last time I checked, your number of posts in this thread are > mine. I'm wondering who's the troll?

PS: As I said, bradah: grow up. You don't have to call me a troll when you have no counter argument.

Peace out.

I can go on and respond to what you've said etc with a paragraph but I'll keep it short:
- I didn't talk shit about mfest, I simply mentioned how you were coming off.
- Seattle S65B40 said something similar, so evidently shouldn't he also apologize?
(i like you Seattle S65B40 btw hehe just making a point)
- Don't call me "Bradah"
- You don't know me, so don't dare to tell me to "grow up" as it's you who isn't stopping with the paragraphs and the countless accusations.
- You had/have no right to tell me what to do, be it to apologize or not. From my experience, Larry is a respectable man who doesn't need his mfest fam to do what you are doing.

Bullshit Steven, bullshit. Every time you pop a 6MT into gear, somewhere in the world, a female explodes in ecstacy.

I know Jack, and he knows where you live. This is a clear warning to back off before I call in the Fantastic Four to take care of you.

This is why a dozen pictures should have been taken by both sides, so this kind of thing never happens again.

Hey guys, the issue has been resolved by Larry. Thread should ended a few pages ago.

There's no reason to make someone apologize or to accuse someone (not directing this to anyone on here). I just think it's better for those who wanna go OT to take it to PM.

Here's my 2c, words on the computer screen do not conney a lot of emotion and sometimes it can cause a lot of misunderstanding.

With that said, im sure the conversation/argument would sounds a lot friendlier in person knowing indohan. He's a cool guy and just wanna defend Larry. Of course Persian54 is also defending Larry. So let's stay on the positive side that the issue is resolved professionally, shall we?
