Thanks for the DIY. For install, I recommend putting the rubber piece on first (the piece under the hood that was taken out first in the vid), then the sliding piece, then finally the hood vent. Putting the rubber piece on 2nd or last is a PITA.

The problem I am having is putting the stock seals that are on the underside of the hood back on . The vents themselves are a breeze but how the hell do we get the seals back in ???? Ugh Any quick tips ?

If you're talking about the rubber part that goes under the hood, you need to put them on first. Read a couple of post up of what I said.

I just did mine but I didn't have to go under the hood. That seems way too much work. I just pried them up from the top, starting at the thin rim part (toward the front) and worked my way back (toward the windshield). There are tabs on windshield side so starting on that end would be too hard and could even break the OEM vent. My hood vents are from AutoTecknic and they don't fit 99%. I'd say 95% but still looks pretty good.

Since your kind of on the topic, what is the purpose of the passenger side vent since its a closed rubber piece???

I just installed mine and I thought the same thing. Really considered not putting it back. It is true as all of the above posters said. Once you are tormented by the first one, the second one is annoyingly easy.
