Damn, I have been waiting for this for a while now and of course I missed out again.

I guess I'll have to go with RE-71R's.

Is there a way to use this discount code multiple times? Having a hard time doing that. I want to order sets of two tires to really maximize the $100 off. Seems as though they have out smarted me though.

make another ebay account, and make another paypal account. you have to use a different credit/debit card even when using paypal to do the deal twice.

they used to just let you do separate transactions, but they made it a pain in the ass for some reason.

...maybe because they lost more than they gained in the past! I used their old deal too on two tires at a time, and it was great!

They used to allow for three pairs max. I had to solicit a friend to buy the last set of two.

Once, somehow, the tires were listed at a lower price and I got a set of four for $730 shipped.

Bummer. I wanted to order two full sets, but the thought of four ebay accounts and four paypal accounts gives me anxiety. One set for now.

I’m not purchasing any tires, so I can order through my account for you if you want.

What date code (assuming heated/dry storage) is too old, in folk's opinion? I have some tires with no use but they are from 2014.

2014 isn't bad IMO if they were in a climate controlled area. Would run them for one more season and kill em

The best temperature for storage is roughly in 15C range...anything over 25C would help along thermo-oxidative aging. Also essentially complete absence of light is helpful, so sealing them up inside dark plastic bags, etc, can shield them from light in addition to protecting them from circulating air.

Hence there is no precise answer on how old is too old. Clearly if there is any (at all) cracking (micro-cracks included) or other obvious signs of aging, they are not serviceable, especially for high stress usage. However, older tires can look perfectly fine externally yet have diminished internal peel strength between the rubber and belt materials, etc.

In any event, given the storage conditions you mention and that they are only 3 years old, I'm guessing they're fine.

Question...who would be interested in an NT01 group buy if the price was close to the $100 off deal?

Is this for a set of 4 or 2? I know at one point they had 100 off a pair.

It is $804 shipped with the eBay deal. For some reason, they were $730 shipped. That only happened once.
