Exclamation Help: NCSExpert Not loading FA line

Platform I'm attempting to code:
  • Stock 2008 BMW 328i E91 (touring) with exception of aftermarket Eonon 7165 Headunit

I searched high and low for the symptoms that I'm getting while trying to initiate NCS Expert software, but got a dead end. This is my first time trying to code features.

The error message that I get when going through the procedure...
1)Open NCS Expert
2) Load Profile > Expertmode
3) F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA)
4) F3 (ZCS/FA f.ECU)
5) Choose CHASSIS (dialogue box and select E89)
6) Choose ECU > CAS
7) >>>>> I get the error message - - Following feature is invalid for FA: #0308

The only thing that I can think of that is causing this issue is:
a) I'm using a buddy's laptop that has the software pre-installed (INPA worked perfectly, but I could not get DISv57, or NCS Experts to)

b) Aftermarket Eonon headunit... is this a dealbreaker? (I think the stock one is in a box somewhere)

***UPDATE***
I did much more reading and decided to go through every prerequisite to ensure that I had NCS Expert working. After updating all daten file folders and EDIBAS files, I am now able to code successfully. That's what I get for trying to run through the standard coding tutorials with my buddy's version of NCS Expert intended for his 2001 E39. Thanks for all the help!

Do you have proper DATEN files installed?

Does NCSexpert at least see your VIN?

**Update** - pulled Daten version. Unsure if I need to grab updated DATEN files though.
Not sure what I would have to do as far as DATEN files go.

NCSexpert does recognize VIN automatically. Any recommended guides to read through to troubleshoot?

Seems like I should be able to go into the airbag menu from INPA to run a diagnostic check, but I got the error pictured. Any ideas?

Bimmergeeks software is known to work with our cars.

https://www.bimmergeeks.net/downloads

I would blow out the setup you have and run with the BimmerGeeks version.

Thanks!! I never came across that dl mirror before.

Just yesterday, I was able to torrent dl newer v47.1 E89 daten files. After moving files to corresponding folders and also update EDIABAS version, I was able to get NCS Expert loaded and code out TPMS to convert to FTM system instead. Still not sure if I need to load the latest daten files, but will incrementally find out... Thanks for the help!

V60.1 I believe the latest with E9x files updated. You should get that from Bimmergeeks too. It is in the links.

Sounds like it could be the way your expert mode profile is setup.

Nope. I set the profile up fine and everything is working fine for me now. I had outdated EDIABAS and E89 files that's all. All is fine now
