Muffler diameter with tips removed?

Hey guys. I couldn’t seem to find this out. Does anyone know the tip diameter of our exhaust with the tips removed? I’m trying to find out so I get the correct size for inlets on my custom exhaust tips. I’m referring to the pipes exiting the muffler with the tips taken off. Thanks.

The outside diameter of the pipes is 63.5 mm or 2.5 inch .

Wait a sec, so the outlet of the exhaust isn't 2.5? That's what I was asking. I'm being told different in this thread: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=23677015

Just happen to have a set of tips sitting on the kitchen table. Here’s the measurements I got just with a digital caliper...

At the exhaust tip. OD 75.2mm / ID 58.1mm

On the side attached to the exhaust. OD 74.3mm / ID 71.2mm

The tip is tapered slightly on the exhaust side so it is easier to slide onto the exhaust pipe... the diameter tapers in maybe 1mm.

I'm still confused what the outer diameter of the exhaust tip with the OEM tips removed is. I see 58.1mm, 63.5mm and 71mm...I am trying to see what exhaust tips would fit the stock muffler tips with the OEM tips removed.

ModestV8 , did you figure it out?
Was looking to do the same mod, considering my stock tips are kind of corroded and ugly.
Thanks
