Found a small local dealer selling a very clean 2011 M3 comp sedan with 6mt. 120k miles.
Silverstone over red/black interior. Clean carfax and lots of service history. I'm reluctant to buy it with the milage, but I'd only keep it a couple of years. Is like to not loose much on it. He's looking for $30kish.

With that mileage, I would say low 20s.

Way out of line with that mileage.
Check here for some comparisons. https://bringatrailer.com/bmw/e90-e92-m3/ The site contains actual sale pricing so you can gauge values a bit better. |

I passed up a very clean SS E90 comp and he was asking $18k and willing to take less (2 months ago)

Worst color over worst interior, high mileage. Not a good price.

Let's be honest - if it's a small local dealer, they're going to give 2 shits about haggling with someone who asks them about rod bearings. They know what they have in it and what they need to get out and they would likely rather sit on it for months to find that person knowing its a very niche car.
Even at $25k I think you're over paying. The car I found was a 2 owner car (and the 2nd owner had just bought it then got in trouble with his wife). Lifetime service history, and he was a detailer so it was super clean, etc. But the dealer knows these are rare. Autotrader shows 0 6MT 2011's nationwide right now. There is a white 2010 non comp with 96K in GA for $24,500. That car (plus haggling and shipping) would probably still be cheaper than the other car even with throwing on 359's and some new suspension (Which is probably going to be a requirement for a 100k+ car regardless if it's on original suspension).

Yeah, I'm going to pass. I don't keep cars more than a couple of year and I know I won't get near what I put in to it.
The same dealer has an E46 Comp 6speed with 70k miles in coming. That has my attention.

I'm going to guess that that won't be favorably priced either.

Yeah, if a 100K E90 is $30k they'll easily price that at $35-40k if it's in decent condition.

There you go, for this price you could have the car shipped across country, repainted any color you want, bolt on all the ZCP parts...and still have thousands of dollars left over. Already has the rod bearings done, speed cloth, LCI trunk and CIC installed. Not bad at all.

I don't think he's budging on $30k. He mentioned putting it on BaT. We'll see.
As for the the E46, he thought it would be around $33k once some work is done.

There are so many amazing examples of this car at 30k. They won't sell that thing for more than 20k unless it were the last M3 on earth. Walk away fast
