I really enjoy the KW HAS Coilover Spring kit with the OEM Dampers and EDC.

Once the suspension is getting old, a full coilover kit will find it way into the car for sure - but for the moment that Set-Up has done me good!

Depends...if I keep this car for the long haul (which I think I will unless a no-nav car pops up), yes. Suspension, bbk, RB's, TA's, etc. For now, I'm just restoring it to OEM perfection. Need a set of 359m's soon no matter what though.

Definitely want to go a bit more track focused for sure. I won't be going every weekend, but more than a few times a year. And since this isn't my daily (I WFH and my wife is driving my F10 M5 lol), I can give a little in the street manners dept.

That's an interesting thought...at least for now while I play with the idea of keeping it while I restore it. This way, I get to enjoy a bit lower ride height along w/ a slight improvement in performance. hmmm

That was exactly my train of thought - couldn't live with stock height during improving/maintenance phase and since then, haven't bothered much to search for an upgrade. Once the dampers will start to fail, KW Clubsport is going in (need that TÜV approval here in Germany, and KW has it) - and I'm more street oriented, so the Competition variants (although awesome) can't be justified.

Been super busy the past several weeks so I really haven't driven the car much or had a chance to work on it. Still browsing the forums though and really thought about the overall build/plan for the car. This is assuming I keep it and that a true stripper M3 or Cayman GT4 doesn't jump in my lap lol. So here's my wish list (feel like a kid looking through the Toys 'R' Us catalog lol), or at least my thoughts at the moment which are always subject to change!

Engine/trans:
-Tune (thinking Epic MS here)
-Karbonius Intake Plenum (want a plenum that actually makes power, even if minimal).
-MS Stg II Intake (had this on my e90 M3 and loved it)
-MS Pulleys (had these on my e90 M3 a)
-Autosolutions SSK; unless there's a decent chassis-mount option available these days that looks more OEM
-Ultimate Clutch Pedal
-OEM sachs clutch (prob won't need this until 150k miles or more)

Exhaust:
-Thinking about headers but not too sure about this...anyone have any input?
-BW X-pipe; likely resonated and maybe sport-catted.
-OEM Exhaust; I just prefer the look. Need to get rid of the ActiveAutowerke on there now.

Suspension:
-Thinking Ohlins R&T here, given the suggestions/intended use.
-GC Camber plates
-Upgraded OEM components as needed

Brakes:
-Stoptech ST60/40 Kit...Unless there's a better option/value for the weekend warrior, I think I've made up my mind on this.

Wheels/Tires:
-18" or 19" EC-7's or ARC-8's. Not sure yet. Also not sure if I want to run a square setup on the street...
-Tires...tough one here; my go to is the MPS 4s, but I think I want a bit more for the track...Any suggestions?

Interior:
-Front seats - not looking to go crazy but the seating position in the e9x M3 isn't ideal, even compared to my F10 M5. I'm able to get so much lower in the M5; looking for the same in the M3. Sportsters may be the way to go.

Exterior: I would like a GTS lip like the one in the GB...but that's a bit of a luxury at this point.

So that's about it for the moment. I'm sure I'll think of some other stuff along the way!

Finally caved and did my first "gaudy" mod a few days ago... super minor but I kinda like it. Original start button surround was peeling and it annoyed me like crazy. Would have been a red start button too but the one I ordered from rush customs was complete crap, thin, and fell apart when I tried to install it. Lesson learned, will only use IND going forward.

Phew...long winter...even in NC. I toyed with the idea of selling it in pursuit of the unicorn; AW stripper with 6spd and CF roof but honestly, every time I take this car out, I fall more and more in love. There's just nothing else out there in this price range (or close) that I could replace it with.

So I have a laundry list of to-do's for this car, I guess I'll start by listing the maintenance/resto items here:

Spark plugs
Windshield trim
Cowl Tim
New deck lid ///M3 badge
Dr. Color chip touch up work
Fix front license plate holes

She also needs a full detail w/ 2-step correction and ceramic coating to be officially ready for the spring/summer season. I'll make a separate post for that.

Long overdue updates…a bit out of order but here goes…finally received and installed my Ultimate Clutch Pedal. Super happy with the feel, the end result and can't wait to pair it with the AS SSK.

BMS cowl filter install! Got tired of the busted little brackets and didn't feel like purchasing new cowl assemblies. Luckily this isn't my daily so not too worried about rain/water.

Thanks man. It's been a labor of love but as you know, these cars are so rewarding.

Spark plugs! With 67k on the clock, it was time. Previous owner did plugs at 35k I think. Overall pretty easy DIY, except of course for the passenger side FW cyl. #5 I believe. What a pain but made easier for sure by some extensions, wobble sockets and the coil puller tool. Car feels great and runs smooth!

Finally got around to fixing the ratty crusty windshield trim! Very easy DIY, wish I'd done it sooner! New trim piece came from fcp euro.
