Choosing between two E90 M3's ... your opinions are valued!
1) 2011.75 M3
Original owner Jet black on black ZCP + Premium 2 + Convenience + Nav + Cold weather + Sunroof DCT 42K miles Few mods Under Warranty until June 2015 Clean PPI $41K 2) 2011.75 M3 Original owner Alpine white on black ZCP + Premium 2 + Convenience + Nav, Slicktop DCT 32K miles No Mods No warranty, but has maintenance until 100K miles or 2017 + BMW wheel/tire warranty + Gap Insurance No PPI performed yet and has small coffee mug sized spiderweb from impact on rear bumper with a fender chip $43K I'm leaning towards the jet black as it looks better in my opinion and has all the features I want. The AW I wouldn't mind because it has less mileage and AW is easier to maintain, but the owner won't budge on the price. Both have newer PSS tires as well. What are your thoughts? |

My understanding is that 2011.75 started in March 2011? If so, wouldn't the car have warranty until at least March 2015? I could be wrong about the date, but mine is a 2011.5 with a build date of Feb 2015.
I think the choice depends on your choice of sunroof vs smooth roof. As they are not CF, I would prefer a sunroof. The extra miles aren't a huge concern (prob worth about $1000 though in price). Are the mods decent? That could be a swaying factor. Last edited by preeble; 10-02-2014 at 11:25 AM.. Reason: E90 Goof... |

I'm not completely sure about the actual built date, but I realize 2011.75 are one of the last produced E90 M3's. I think it depends on if the owner received an extended warranty or not - which in itself is quite confusing, but after research I don't believe many people purchased the extended 100K/7 year warranty. I prefer a sunroof as well. I think the mileage isn't a huge deal either maybe 2K-2.5K difference. The mods look nice and are pretty much along the lines of what I would do anyways.

I'd say Alpine White strictly because slicktop alone...

My 2011.75 E90 was built in November, and the standard warranty will last until November 2015. I believe all BMWs have 4 years standard, so both your choices are under warranty until some date in 2015.

I'd go with the no-sunroof one. It's very rare and if you like performance, it is lighter weight with a lower center of gravity.
I find I rarely ever use the sunroof on cars that come with it.

I don't track the car so for me Sunroof is a must specially for Sedan (4 doors).

Without thinking, it would be (1) for me. It has mods and warranty. (2) Only has Gap Insurance, but you can get GAP from any financier you choose, it's not transferable IIRC. There is nothing redeeming about the second choice other than color and mileage, and 10k miles isn't that much difference.
