Are preowned US Spec M3's grossly overpriced in Germany..
..or does supply and demand justify some of these prices I am seeing?
In the US, it seems you can get the same MY M3 with the same or less miles and the same features for $5k-$10k less than they ask over here. Here are a few examples: http://www.ramstein.bookoo.com/i/50331469 http://www.ramstein.bookoo.com/i/49502190 http://graf.bookoo.com/i/50223886 http://graf.bookoo.com/i/49682290 The 2nd one has been rotting on the lot for a few months now. I feel bad for it, because it never moves and sits in the rain all day. The 3rd one comes stock with none of the mods (for $48,000) and the last one has super high miles for my liking and the price. I would assume if these cars were for sale in the states they would sell easily for $5k+ less than what these people are asking. I can sort of understand the high prices on the first two. Dealers here that cater to American Military seem to ask way more than US Spec cars are worth. Not quite sure why. I guess they feel they can take advantage of us? So is this just a simple case of supply/demand driving the price up, making it justifiable, or are these prices insulting? I am picking up my new M3 Monday, and though I am comfortable with the price (I am paying at the top of what I feel comfortable with) I am afraid that I could have gotten it for $4000 cheaper if I bought it in the States. |

The dealers here are selling the m3 for 300 more then NADA retail. Banks here in Germany service or community go off of NADA pricing when it comes to loans. How much you getting your M3 for if you don't mind me asking? Congratulations on your M3 and post pictures when you can.
