Does BMW Provide Build Dates?

Hi all. Have a family member getting the run around from her dealer. She wants to order a X3 and is trying to figure out whether dealer has an allocation or is blowing smoke. With other MFG's I've dealt with, when you BTO, you get a build date and estimated delivery.

Yes, dealers can provide build information. My salesman was excellent with information. They day I placed the order we sat at the computer and they were able to switch a 335 they had on order for general inventory to my M3 build. I was immediately provided with a production number and an estimated build date.

Not all dealers are good at providing it or perhaps they are short of allocations and are waiting for next month's allocations at which point they should be able to provide you with the information...
