Item Interest
For sale: StopTech ST60 front / ST40 rear big brake kit--SOLD
  • E9X-specific kit
  • Just under 3 years old
  • Silver painted calipers
  • Front: ST60 6-piston calipers / 380x35mm rotors
  • Rear: ST40 4-piston calipers / 355x32mm rotors
  • Removable bridge design allows for very easy pad changes without having to remove calipers
  • Compatibility with a very wide range of street and track pads
  • Fantastic performance on track

See for more info: http://zeckhausen.com/BMW/E92_M3.htm

The brakes have about 30 track days total on them. There is some staining on the caliper bodies from brake fluid, noticeable only up close, but mechanically they're in great shape.

I replaced the front rotors in Aug 2012; these replacements now have about 15 track days on them, so they are due for replacement again fairly soon. Because of the 2-piece nature of the rotors (center rotor hat and surrounding disc or "friction ring"), you keep the original rotor hats and just replace the friction rings. Replacement front 380x35mm StopTech friction rings are $740/pr from zeckhausen.com.

I replaced the rear rotors this July, so they only have 5 track days on them. These rears should last another two years or so.

I've found that the front components (pads and rotors) wear out about three times as fast as the rears.

MSRP new on the BBK is $3395 for the front kit and $2595 for the rear kit. Given the fact that the front friction rings/rotors will need to be changed fairly soon, I'm asking $1250 for the front BBK and $1100 for the rear BBK.

At $2350 for the whole setup, plus an eventual $740 for replacement front friction rings, buyer would still be at about 50% of the cost of MSRP new.

Asking $1250 for front BBK
Asking $1100 for rear BBK
Whole package $2350

Prefer local pickup; if shipped, buyer pays shipping costs

Brakes to be removed from car next week; will post pictures then

I know. I'm going to really miss this car. I'm having the Dinan rear section exhaust removed now.

But...a 991 Carrera S is on the way, and it'll be getting Forgeline wheels, GiroDisc rotors and Pagid pads, a roll bar, Recaro or OMP or RaceTech seats, and Schroth harnesses. Yee-haw!

I'm interested in the kit, too! If the deal goes off, please lmk. BTW, how much are you selling for your Dinan exhaust?
