*PIC REQUEST*--Alpine Coupe WITH Sunroof

Hey,

I'm going to the dealer Tuesday to finish the deal.

My color is Alpine White.

I've gone through the white gallery () and have seen a only handful of AW/Sunroof. Almost EVERY one pictured is with a CF roof, which looks absolutely sexy.

THIS IS NOT a CF Roof vs Moonroof thread. I have read all of them, and if I was satisfied I wouldn't be posting--there are good discussions/opinions, but very few actual pictures.

I had a sunroof on my 323ci. I paid extra for the Limited package on my WRX to get a sunroof. I cannot imagine a car of mine without a sunroof. But the e92 M3 in alpine white with that CF roof may have changed my mind.

Post your Alpine White/Moonroof coupe!

Roof wrapped in what??

That actually looks great, but I'm going to have the shark fin not sure how that would work out (prefer not to paint the fin).

First white pic I've seen with the sunroof raised, thanks so much!

Not a CF roof vs. Moonroof thread. Just looking for pics that may not be in the white gallery.

It's like the clearbra material, but black. They can also wrap the fin.

Are you sure it's not just a regular vinyl?

I agree...to be honest I didnt want the Convertible M3 at first, I went in to buy a Coupe. But I wanted white with red interior, and there were about 5 cars coming in (all different options) that fit my white/red criteria. However, they all had Carbon Fiber roofs. I have had a sunroof in every single one of my cars I have ever owned, and Im the person who ALWAYS used it. My first car, a 93 Honda Civic had a sunroof for gods sake! I couldn't justify a $80000 car without a sunroof. Anyways, because there were no incoming white/red M3 coupes with a sunroof. I went for the Vert!!!

I agree, the moonroof is a must. But I do like the look of the CF, that's why I'm getting mine wrapped in the spring.

You could always just by a sedan and squash the whole moonroof vs cf roof thing...

I am a fan of the moonroof, I used mine ALL the time on my E46 M3.

Black vinyl, with a clearbra over top of the vinyl to protect it.

LOL you are CRAZY!!! I would love a scenario like that because then I could get the CF roof and have no guilt. It's almost like I think I could live without it, but if I had no choice I wouldn't look back.

And you switched up completely and got a VERT!! Classic!!

LOL I HATE 4-doors. After having them on my WRX I rarely use them, and I end up missing my 323 coupe more often than not.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd like more pics, but from the 3 I have seen, I feel alot better. My biggest worry was that the sunroof made the car look too much like a vert from the rear angles, but it absolutely does not.

I've been lurking the Tri-State forum on e90 and found a couple places that do excellent vinyl, so I think I'll go sunroof and maybe a $200 vinyl job and see how it holds up. Again, really appreciate the responses.

I would go sunroof on any car (unless it is something of the likes of an Aston Martin).

To me, the CF roof is nothing more than cosmetic. I know if lowers the center of gravity, but would it realistically be by any amount that a driver could ever notice?

I don't know, do you notice the difference between when the tank is empty versus when it is full?

Hardly the best comparisson for this situation. Even a half tank of gas is a lot heavier than the extra 30-40lbs that the moonroof adds. There is no way you will ever feel the difference between the moonroof car and the CF roof car. EVER!
