Finally back...
Hey all... I am finally back from my deployment and have had my car for two weeks now. Gotta say, I love it! I've made a couple of decently far trips, so I got some good Autobahn miles on her. She's sitting at 700 miles right now. My goal is to get it to 1200 before I go on leave back to the states for a couple of weeks, but I am not sure if that is going to happen.
Unfortunately, yesterday afternoon someone hit her in the parking lot. The guy was running into our little shopette, he parked a bit close I guess, and as he was backing out he cut the turn too close and scratched the driver's side rear rim and bumper pretty bad. Went to the dealer today to get a price for it and it comes to a little over 2000 Euro. The good thing is that the guy who hit it stayed there and we filed the police report and everything. The insurance will take care of everything in this case, so I guess I should be thankful for that! I do have some pictures of her from when I picked her up at the dealership. It was the day after I got back. I was thrilled, so I didn't change out of my uniform or anything. I will post them up when I get the chance! Have a good one! - Mike

Welcome back!
Sucks about the accident, but at least the other person was man enough to do the right thing. I have 9 more months to go, with R&R in the dead of winter...oh well!

Playing picture detective, it looks like you are in 12th CAB. NEA license says you are in Illesheim, the fact you just got back means you are in 2-159th? Anyway, if you got your car in Ansbach, tell Margit Johnny and Katherine said hi! And if I was way off then disregard everything I've typed :P
