Blower recall

So I stopped by my local stealership the other day to pick up a part, and while I was there I decided to try to schedule my blower recall. I was told by the SA that I would need to wait because the fix that BMW thought they had was actually not fixing the issue and they need to come up with another. Is this true or is he just another clueless SA? He also mentioned that anyone who had the recall done would need to come back in once they have another resolution.

I would believe that opposite of what he says. These cars have a tendency to make us expect the worst. Regardless it's not worth worrying about whether true or not. BMW will contact you if this is the case.

MY dealer will not install the part because they said the part is not available. Other members have had wildy varying experiences, from getting the same info I got, to having the part replaced on the spot. very strange

Sounds like BMW is not doing a very good job communicating with the dealers

I think it was a year and a half if not more to get the air bag recall done on my 2013 M3......total BS! Read about, did not get a notice on the air bag recall on my 2010 Honda Accord. I called the next day and got an immediate appointment, they had the parts in stock and ready to go....done in an hour! IMO BMW is getting more and more fucked up!

I took my car in for the recall because my blower fan just completely died. It would not blow any air no matter what setting it was at. They had 2 of the 3 parts available at the time and placed an order with BMW in Germany for the 3rd part. My car was done and ready to be picked up in under a week. This was way back in May this year.

Not sure where the hell you guys get your car serviced because they sure do not want to work. Probably because they are too busy doing customer paid labor.

I got my recall YESTERDAY and it was done in 2 hours with the car washed and ready to roll

they run my vin and the part is not available but when they ask parts, they have them available of course since it shouldn't be vin specific lol

the only shit i have complains about is, you want me to come in and drop off my car, but you don't do loaners on fucking recalls? wtf is that.

I scheduled service earlier this week for brake fluid flush, and asked my SA if they could do the blower motor recall at the same time. He said sure and then called later after I dropped the car off to say that during the process of doing the recall, they were inspecting the ac unit. I have an extended warranty, so my SA always has the tech look around where he's working in case there problems that are not yet evident. They found a leak in the ac evaporator which they replaced under my warranty to the tune of $3900. And I've never not had them offer a loaner.

I've seen nothing on a blower motor recall for my 2013.

Wtf. I just bought my e92 and the dealer I bought it fromsaid there weren't any recalls. I looked through the service history and i didn't see any repairs for any recalls on my car. I'll have to bring it in to the dealer.

Just received my blower wiring recall letter on Friday (Nov 30). 2009 e92 M3. Will call the dealer on Monday to see if they actually have the parts before I go in to get this done.

Yeah strange I got my "FINAL" notification.

I figured it was for air bag because I feel I get those on a monthly basis.

This was for blower , and a "FINAL" notice to schedule. So ... not sure what's up.

Mine took 2-3 hours. Not sure why, but right after the recall my driver side cup holder started rattling. Fixed it myself.

Were any of these recall cars making clanging noises?
My 2013 is not included in the "blower recall", but something is going on deep inside the dashboard. I hate the idea of dismantling my rattle-free car.

Anyone that else got the recall done, did you notice that your blower got louder? Mine is really loud now. It was pretty quiet at full speed before the recall, but after it sounds like a jet.
