Good deal?

What do guys think?

2008 e92 m3
White with red interior
Premium package
6sp
MSRP 62,000
In service date is December of 2008
KBB for trade in value is $48,000

Car only has 3200 miles and was a BMW executive car, so i'll be the first owner.

Dealer initial asking price was $51,000, after long negotiations, i managed to get $47,000.

What do you guys think?

no tech package kind of makes this great deal into just a deal imo

not that good of a deal especially since you already lost a year of warranty plus no tech package which is gonna bring the resale value down.

Hmmm, ok. I just thought that since it is used, and i got it from a dealer below what a private party would sell according to kbb, and the fact that although it is a used car, i will still be the 1st owner of it. I thought i am actually getting a pretty decent deal.

Oh well, who cares about what you paid for after you drive the car

No tech package is really deal breaker (and I think that's why dealer went down to 47k).
But if you're going to drive and love it for 3+ years, it's good deal but if you're going to drive around 1 year and try to make money out, it's gonna be bad deal.
That's my thought.

My only concern here would be was it A: an executive car or B: a Press Car that was beat to sh*t by journalists every other week. That is the million dollar question. I can tell you that most bmw employees would order that car with NAV (bmw employees don't pay more money for options on their company cars) so I am fairly certain that was a press car of some sort.

Sounds decent, but more and more deals like this on better equipped cars will start showing up.

Well according to the dealer it is an executive car and they show me that it before it's in their hands, it belongs to BMW North America.

BMW of North America sells their executive cars and press cars as one in the same. There is no differentiation if the car is used by an executive or as a press car. It makes very little sense to me that a bmw employee would order a car without NAV which leads me to believe this was a press car. Dealer would have no idea if it was a press car or executive car since they aren't titled or marked as such. just an fyi...
