US M3 debut is LA and M3post.com meet up!

I unfortunately am in WPB, FL right now & will be our NJ, thursday till Saturday & then back here for Thanksgiving. I just read about the LA Car Show 2 days ago (where the heck have I been???) So my fiance' & I might fly back to CA earlier than we planned to catch one of the last 2 days of the show

Come on, don't worry about the crowds. Work a half day and meet up with all the crazies from the forum. Grab a beer and check out the car with us! If I can't twist your arm at least join us after you see the show and grab a beer with us at 2 p.m.

Remember the snap shot from the Seattle auto show? Snap shots obviously aren't the kings balls.

A fine DA type of point. I do not recall the specifics of Seattle, remind me.

I guess my other thoughts on why it will be there are:
1. LA and West Coast is BIG BMW country.
2. Cars are more or less being specd at dealers.
3. It is absolutely time for the car to be seen in NA

I'm definitely going to the LA Auto Show to see the new M3 this weekend.

Only thing is, I'm definitely not going on Friday because of work.

If you're going to plan a meet, I would shoot for Saturday or Sunday.

I'm going to the show on Sunday.

My idea was to not only go to the first day of the show but to push folks to take a half day off as well. Sorry if that doesn't fit your requirements. Enjoy the show!

That was the plan as I suggested it. Quite a few have said here and in the post in the events section that they will meet at the Liberty Grill for a bite or brew at 2 p.m. on Friday. I guess we will see. I will also PM my mobile to anyone who requests it.

Here I am in a recent post defending the comradarie of this forum and NOT A SINGLE PERSON WHO CLAIMED THEY WOULD showed up at the bar/resto before the event. I was very disappointed not to be able to place some faces with some names (and handles), shake some hands, raise a pint and have a look at the new M3 together.

The excitement and pleasure of seeing the car in person went a long way toward erasing all of my disappointment but it did not get all of it.

I guess the majority view is that we are all better off only as "virtual buddies".

Did you get over to see the car?
