E92 M3 drift in SIC China,
Hope you like this video, we made it in the Shanghai F1 circuit in China.
It's in the Driver Training event. I drove it and drift in the area out of the tune 14. How do you think this? http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjY3MjUzODI4.html I love the michelin tyre, lots of smoke... |

I'm curious to know if the M3 has much brand name recognition in China. I go there on business from time to time, and I've never seen an M3 or any M car on the streets. I've seen plenty of Bentleys and Ferraris in Beijing and Shanghai but no Ms. Do people even know what an M3 is, or do they think it's just another 3-series?

FOr the most part people will think the M3 is jsut a hooked up 315 or 320 (yes they have really small displacements there).
And a base model early-mid 2000 Boxter would get alot more attention, especially from girls than a M3.

Actually there're quite a lot of Ms in China, but only a VERY small portion of them are DDs, so, it's not that easy to see Ms during daytime on a regular basis. When you hang out at night, you will see Ms. (PS we don't have cops driving around like in U.S. ,so, no concerns of being pulled over, only 200 RMB if caught by a camera.

I just came back from china (multiple cities including Hong Kong) and didn't see an m car on the street but saw many p-cars, many were driven by women to boot.
Very interested in the car scene in Beijing, heard that guys are meeting/racing on the outer rims ( which wpuld be sick by judging the newly paved roads). Any member from china can confirm?

In fact, in China, they already sold lots M cars, but in China, most big city is too big, as big as a small country ( just joke), so we have few chance to see M car on the street, even Beijing and Shanghai. but when we do some M event in China, you'll see how many cars we have in this country, haha !
anyone like to drift with M in China? Come and join us! |
