probably with a lot of camber, i am guessing at least 2.5degrees or more, something that would destroy the inner edge of your tires if you kept driving with that much camber on the street...

also it is et20 so the wheels would stick out a little more and you'll get a little more clearance on the strut side. if the 10.5" wheel was et27, i dont think you'd have enough space on the strut side.

the problem is made worse if you are using an aftermarket coilover like KW (which has bigger springs) because it reduces the amt of space that you have in between the edge of the tire and the strut/spring.

I have no problems with 285/35/18 10.5" wheel with -1.9 camber GC springs.

I'm running -2.9 camber up front and my wear is even - yeah I corner aggressively on the street and do DE's once a month on my PSS's

He has a Japanese coilover system...JRZ or Morton? Unfortunately I'm quite ignorant when it comes to suspension for this car

We're creating a list of test wheel/tire combos. Has anyone run 295/35/18's on the rear in anything other than the Nitto NT-05's?

I've run PSS' on 285's. Wish they made 295's or bigger, I'd try them.

305 is oversized. It will balloon on the wheel and will negatively effect performance. It would look like a drag racer.

275/35/18 is the correct front size. You can run that on the 18x10" ET25 wheel.

The correct size for the rear on the 10.5" wheel is 295/30/18.

Thanks for that! almost made an expensive mistake

so to confirm,

Toyo R888
275/35/18 Front on 18x10 ET25
295/30/18 Rear on 18x10.5 ET27

fits under stock suspension? no rubbing or anything?

Because of how wide the R888's run (a 265 R888 is wider than a 275 NT-01)

I would recommend the following sizes for your application.

265/35/18 F
295/30/18 R

You could run the 275/35/18 front but it's even taller than the 265's, which is not the most ideal when combined with a shorter rear tire.

That would be a perfect, direct bolt on setup.

What sizes of PSS would be recommended for a staggered APEX wheel setup?

I apologize that I didn't take the time to read the whole thread however I am considering these wheels for my E90 M3.The car is currently sitting on OEM 19s.

With the ARC8's I want a flush look w/o spacers at first. I don't want my front wheels sticking out beyond the fender well (not looking to pose at this time). I am not partial to the staggered or square set up. I just want a clean look for the ARC8s on my car that will double as my winter and track wheels. Thank you.

If you want a flush look that is still rub free and usable in the winter than you will want the 18x9.5" ET22 front wheels and 18x10" ET25 rear wheels. I am assuming you will be running extreme summer tires for your track setup, or will you be running r-compounds?

New concave, light-weight 17" sizes will be available in late April. Some are ideal for the E9X M3 in specific applications. The wide wheels will be very ideal for use with Drag radials.

New ARC-8 sizes:

17x8.5" ET20 - 16.55lbs - M3 fitment
17x9.0" ET30 - 16.55lbs
17x9.5" ET35 - 16.95lbs
17x10.0" ET25 - 18.10lbs - M3 fitment
17x10.5" ET27 - 18.95lbs - M3 fitment

Improved Caliper Clearance:

The E9X brake caliper is located further back in orientation to the hub mounting point than most 3 series models. This means flat faced wheel designs leave excessive amounts of caliper to spoke clearance. Excessive clearance results in excessive wheel weight. Concave spokes make better use of the available space when lower offsets are needed. By using concave spokes we could decrease wheel weight by 1.5lbs when you factor in the weight of spacers needed on higher offset wheels. The inner barrel diameter was also increased to provide additional Caliper to barrel clearance. The original higher offset 17" wheels could not clear some 355mm kits. These new concave wheels clear Brembo and Stoptech 355mm kits with ease. We've verified that the three M3 fitments will clear BBK's on the E9X M3, and the other sizes will also clear when a spacer is used to correct for their higher offsets.

All sizes have already received official VIA certification. We received the testing results for all the wheels the other week. Certificate numbers can be verified on the VIA's online database.

17x8.5" ET20 Hyper Black

17x9" ET30 Satin Black

17x9.5" ET35 Anthracite

17x10.5" ET27 Hyper Silver

Example photos on a 335i:

17x9" ET30 on 335i with Stoptech 355mm BBK

Holy cow! Those look meaty! I like this. How well will the star spec 265/40r17s work on the 17x10 wheel?

That would be a clean fit on the 10's, but you could go wider.

There are a LOT of 275/40/17 R-compounds and slicks (including wets) in that size.
