Do you plan to sell it in Germany? Does it have TÜV? Are there any other muffler tips with smaller diameter?

Thanks!

Sal, pardon me if this is mentioned in the thread, but how does the sound level compare with kreissieg when both systems have valves open? I take it the evolve system is lower due to the cats?
Are you gonna come out with a catless system? Why wasnt it designed with a catless setup from the start like most other valve setups?

And with the no loss of power claimed, through its design and back pressure. Is that with a tune or stock or both?

And to correct your post a few above, Im pretty sure that the kreissieg system is $8700 for the full system. The Cat back (axle back since it has no cats) is roughly $5500-$6200 depending on the tips (still more than your system, just to keep your point).

Just to answer a couple of those questions.

Sal@Evolve mentioned that the XPipe can be produced with or without cats and resonators.

He also mentioned that all those dynos were completed with no modified tune.

Looking at the data that Evolve collected, you'll notice that there really isn't any loss in power by retaining high flow secondary cats. I am assuming that is one reason why they decided to keep it. This gives the client the opportunity to still pass emissions with a proper tune, which Evolve also mentioned.

Thanks.
I mustve missed all those points somewhere lol

And I thought the debate of power loss was valves open vs closed. Not cat vs catless. I see they dynoed oem cats vs their own x pipe with no measurable power loss but non with catless?

The first dyno graph is a test of AA catless x pipe vs evolve x pipe with 200 CPI cats.
There is no measurable difference..... As expected.

The testing includes more information than just a promotion of our product but general information about what parts of the exhaust do and don't make a difference.

If there is still time to change your design, I would not recommend using the race-ready valves (they may be from a different OEM source, but they look identical). The interface between the gearbox and the valve will losen up after a few months and then begin to rattle loudly. Perhaps you can fix that interface, because the rest of the valve is very robust. I went through 3 warranty claims before I gave up and bought a different brand.

The problem people face with these valves is the hollow dowel pins.
Use solid ones and you won't have an issue.
I noticed the issue you point out already in these valve designs.
Thanks for discussing.

I know you said you wanted to keep this product separate from the software but will you have any hp/tq comparisons over stock that includes software upgrades? People will want to know what the whole package looks like.

Sal,
Very interested in this exhaust. A few questions if i may:

1. Where is the 'switch' located to move from valves open to closed and how is it intigrated into the car (is is reversable)?

2. If i ordered would you be able to fit 80mm tips instead of the 90mm?

3. How much power would you estimate the exhaust with stock x pipe + evolve tune would make?

4. Is the system 'street legal'?

5. Please PM me your price for the exhaust and connecting pipes + evolve r tune including installation.

Many thanks.

1. On a key fob.
2. No 80mm option at the moment.
3. The same as just a tune - the rear exhaust does not do much for power.
4. Street legal in the UK? It has a set of cats so yes.
5. PM'd.

Does the system require tapping into the car's vacuum system and running a vacuum line to the rear valves? I assume there is a control box that also needs to be mounted somewhere in the driver's compartment.

Will you have any pictures of the complete system any time soon?

Thanks

Great products. The 200cpi cats is a good idea.

I really don't like the smell I get with the Akra 100cpi cats, even after they're warmed up.

No vacuum lines. That's a pain to install.

Control box is mounted anywhere in the rear.

We will have images yes.

More videos to come.

Any updates? We need more videos!

Preferably some fly-bys with the valve open...

Unless I missed it you don't describe the controller other than a reference to it being fob based. Is it possible to hook up to a garage door opener? Even more interesting would be having it slaved to the m button. Also have you considered an auto mode?

Good question. Is there any way to use one of the homelink buttons on the rear view mirror or one of the blank buttons next to the headlight switch to control the exhaust valves?

I know you Euro types take a lot of vacation time, but what happened to this thread? Any updates? Any new videos or pictures of the final system (complete or just slip-on)? Have you shipped any to customers yet?

Thanks

No doubt. I'm hoping to make some exhaust decisions before track season and this is high on the list.
