CCC iDrive knob styling?

Hi!
I can't seem to find any styling options at all for the CCC idrive knob on the 2008 M3 (pre-lci). (photo attached)
Has anyone found a knob that fits or done any successful styling? I really like the new large crystal knobs that could be ordered from many pages, but could I make it fit?

Appreciate any ideas!

Oh, that looks great what he has done. Ok so if I understand this right, any wheel should fit with modifications. The question is if it still will spin and move properly and not act broken/wrong fitted....

the knob is actually just glued on, mine came off so it just needs a flat surface on the new knob to adhere to

I think I'm gonna try this one. Worst case if it doesn't work I'll just glue the original knob back on. (i think its cheaper on aliexpress)

Would've been perfect if Bmw used the same size attachment under. That means all wheels could have the same fit just by glueing on.

I painted mine black and I'm quite satisfied with it. The shape/style of the knob wasn't a problem to me, just didn't like the color contrast with the interior so much.

i don't really see anything wrong with the knob as it is. You can always replace it with a CIC controller - it's direct plug in. But you will need a different center console piece.

The black paint there looks really good too!
If the crystal one didnt fit then I might paint it like you did.

Z K, the problem with it is that the color is off compared to the black/carbon fiber interior. And that it is dull, they could've at least striped it with M colors or something in my opinion.

I think the brushed stainless steel knob looks quite classy and upscale. It fits well in a luxury car and feels high end.

Remember this is the same knob that is used in other BMWs and so it isn't the "sports" style that is the M3 look.
